Barkley - Incredible

giantstock : 10/2/2022 2:35 pm
Wow - this was the guy we could have had if he was healthy for a few years and if the moronic GM would have supported him with an OL that could run-block.

Just wondering if he goes to another team next year -- imagine him healthy with either KC or Buffalo?????????
WE REALLY NEED TO RIDE THIS GUY

I hope he doesnt wear out. We have ZERO pro quality Wide Outs. There isnt anybody on the FA list that wants a shot? I find this hard to believe.
Something very odd about people imagining our best players on other

this is a great test for him

given CHI knows we got shit for WRs.....I'm a believer and he's 100% for sure.

I'm just thinking we're not going to sign him. I don't want to create discussion whether to or not -- just as a football fan if we don't.

I mean is thus guy sensational now like what we saw his rookie year but better, or what?
I’ll keep saying it..

Im not moving him for a 3rd round pick.
when healthy

he's special
I'm not sure
PakistanPete : 10/2/2022 3:17 pm : link
I'd move him for a 2nd considering the teams that might be offering that pick.

I know it's not ideal to have your most explosive player be your RB.

But his ability to give you an explosive play on practically any run is pretty important for a team that doesn't generate many.
i think we can get a low first back

Keep Barkley in Blue until he retires. Stop playing armchair GM, and enjoy his talent.

I'm glad I stayed on the Barkley bandwagon. Hopefully those that referred to him as a 'losing player' will keep quiet.
Barkley is our best offense weapon

We trade him for a first round pick. Who do we get? Evan Engram, Eli Apple, Kadarius Toney? Nothing is guaranteed in the first round. It’s not even guaranteed that we would be able to use that first round pick to move up for a high caliber QB. It’s a tough situation for the Giants next year, when it comes to Barkley. I’m leaning towards franchising him.
He

was absolutely phenomenal. He's playing himself into a big contract, whether with the Giants or someone else. My only concern is that he could have a monster number of carries and wear and tear by the end of the year, even though his workload was less than normal because of his ACL tear the last few years.
Barkley has been impressive

I think he changed his running style. Instead of always looking for the home run, I think he is running with more power and running north and south.

I give him a lot of credit for self evaluation.

Time to discuss this in January
Whether they kepe him or not
giantstock : 10/2/2022 5:45 pm : link
Just saying it is a complete and absolute pleasure watching him play.

Heck even in the last two minutes of 1st half they ran the ball - I didn't care.

Yep
Get yards first and then see if home run is there
Of course not getting hit behind line and actually getting to 2nd level really helps
Oline needs help but definitely doing better ( because it was horrible)
He has definitely changed how he runs
Greg from LI : 10/2/2022 6:12 pm : link
And it has been a big improvement. No more dancing around - now he hits the hole hard. It’s like Ottis Anderson said - the home run opportunities will always be there. He didn’t have to try to imitate Barry Sanders, which is impossible, to make big plays. Take the tough short gains rather than losing yards trying to break one when there’s nothing there.
As a football fan I'd love to see him on a good team
Jerry in_DC : 10/2/2022 6:25 pm : link
Obviously it was a monumentally stupid draft pick, but that doesn't mean he's a bum. He has value. I still think it's possible that a late 1st might be on the table for him (maybe we send a mid round pick back). I'd do that. But I'm also ok with keeping him.

But man I'd love to watch him on Buffalo, KC, or Baltimore
Mostly the same running back
ChrisRick : 10/2/2022 6:28 pm : link
He is healthy and has adequate blocking.
