the Giants last played a home game in New York State. By then they will have spent just as long playing home games in New Jersey as they ever did in New York City.
I never understood the decision made (right around 2000, I believe?) to replace "GIANTS" on the helmets with the "ny," but it makes less and less sense with each passing year.
I don't care which jerseys they want to sell to the public. Any fan under 20 probably doesn't understand the appeal of the red, white, and blues, but if they want to rock Eli's #10 in the straight blue and white, that's fair play.
And even if they want to do one or two home games every year where they treat the blue/whites/ny helmets as the uniform, that's fine too. I'm just thinking about pure aesthetics.

than Lawrence Taylor.......his white pants blood stained, his predatory pre snap stance.....that panther like first step will be difficult, if ever possible to emulate, along with his delight in seeing "snot bubbles" coming from opposing quarterbacks.....those uniforms are just so meaningful!
And the throwback helmets are fun on a temporary basis, but the jerseys and the sleeves in particular make them feel like Bills throwbacks to me instead of Giants.

Anyone else having this hangup?
Nope, too many good memories of those jersey and helmets.
even if the helmet is not matte. But I also really like their usual blues, because they are nearly identical to the 1960's and I think that's cool.
I feel like the color rush are the throwback away, so really we have two home/away sets and we should use those throwbacks at least 2x a year, 4x if we are allowed.
I think the majority wants this change. In time we will all miss the current set and have nostalgia of the Coughlin/Manning era, but for now I think they need the change.

No. What are you even talking about? Did you watch Super Bowl 25? OR any other game the Bills and Giants played? lol
I wasn't too crazy about the switch in 2000 to the "NYs" and I had no idea they made the change honestly until I was at my aunt's apartment and saw them during a preseason game on TV. I didn't know the switch was permanent.
The NY helmets are fine with me since the Giants appeared in three Super Bowls wearing them.
Just weird to me that I haven't watched the Giants wearing those jerseys since I was in middle school.
To those complaining, I don't understand your issue, that lifeless stadium actually looked good ... for once.
But I still don't think they got the jersey color right on these throwbacks. It's too bright, like the old Bills jerseys. It should be more of a royal blue.
Gray pants on the home uniforms always looked terrible.

I agree Eric. They are just a tad too bright. I tweeted them (the Giants' social media team) about that same point. That's a small adjustment they need to make that will make a huge difference. Other than that, these are the uniforms they should be wearing. I know you, I, an Dave in Hoboken agree on this vociferously.
Todays jerseys looked awesome

Online petition sites are easy to find. You can start one yourself, updraft it everywhere Giants fans congregate, and see how much support it gets.
An interesting fact, I guess that's right.
...and me
I'd be down with some hybrid if the 2 uniforms, but the sleeve stripes are ugly as fuck.
Not sorry.

The fans are the ones that basically pay for all of it anyway, so they should have a say in it.

Easy to find. Mostly useless.
Agreed. Back to the Future coming soon. It would fit a change in regimes anyway. It's about time.

It actually made the stadium look decent and not the typical grey, lifeless, air conditioning unit.

Totally disagree. I think they're excellent. Really clean and they pop so much more than the regular home unis.
I thought the entire aesthetic today was awesome. Of course, there's a nostalgia factor, but I think these uniforms are just so much nicer.
No. Your sense of style sucks.
+ infinity

Disagree completely. Loved them.

+1
The "ny" helmet and the understated white/gray/blue/red uniforms are the best in all of sport.
I think they should switch to the GIANTS uniforms and touch up the color rush unis so they pop a little more like the home ones did yesterday.
Gray pants on the home uniforms always looked terrible.
The giants on the side of the modern helmets didn’t look good and the ny is better regardless.

They do have a say. They buy tons of gear with the ny logo. Those are important votes.
