So, now we know -for sure -we don’t have a deep threat-! Do we look at OBJ to join Landon as home comers? We need stretch the field. TE still keep to many in the box. We need vertical threats. OBJ should be as fast as Slayton and has hands to hold on to throws.
Thoughts?
It's a long shot - no doubt
If we get a WR it will be a trade for a younger WR with long term potential (we are building for the future, not this season).

All I was stating is we need a viable deep threat. The signings of Faliciano, Golowski, Jaylon Smith ( and looking at Collins)etc are stop gap players. A decent WR (whomever it is) would help our Qb and RB. I promise not to use the goal post pisser OBJ again..
I am sure he'll only be getting a vet minimum contract after the injury but definitely agree that he has 0 interest coming to this team. Plus, he's not even 8 months off the ACL so he probably won't be playing until closer to playoff time.
I'd rather Slayton get fulltime burn right now anyway, warts and all..at least defenders need to respect him in coverage and it'll open up other options.
WanDale is going to be a huge part of this offense whenever he gets healthy.
I kind of like this idea talent-wise, but he's another guy that can't stay healthy.
Plus he may not be cleared to play.
In the near term, Marcus Johnson probably offers more as a potential stopgap, especially if the backup QBs have developed some rapport with him. (Though Johnson has had his own medical issues, and Hodgins also has some prior experience catching balls from Davis Webb in Buffalo.)
Toney and Robinson at least give Jones a quick hit guy who can make people miss..
But the nukber 1 type guy wont come until next offseason whether through the draft or free agency/trade
He cannot separate, cannot run after the catch, and apparently he can’t really catch either
When that guy didnt make the Bills and was added to their PS, I figured it was only a matter of time before the Giants snagged him. Or really any other team that needed a WR. I really liked what I saw of him in their PS games.

Sills complements these deficiencies with a lack of situational and spatial awareness. He's not the worst WR I've seen in a Giant uniform (that would be Duke Calhoun), but he's close.

At this point I’m sure there are better options available on other teams practice squads.

What you are missing is that this coaching staff is using him as a blocker coming off of motion and he seems to be doing well in that aspect
