I had a high ankle sprain and no way would Jones have been able to walk around the way he did if he had a high ankle.
With grade 2, he should stay off it and elevate it but he could probably play with it heavily tapped. But I would rather see them let Jones rest and start Taylor, especially on the pitch, which has way less traction than American football fields
This is a great question because I was thinking that to
I was waiting to hear from the beats that they saw DJ at the stadium today in or not in a walking boot.
I agree that no boot is a sign the sprain is minor and he can try to work it out with ice, elevation and those other magical things in football training rooms (heat pulsers, massagers, etc.)
Still I would start Webb. Don't risk Jones. Not just for this season but Giants also need to evaluate him. That would be greatly complicated by his playing on a bad ankle.
Be extra cautious
Taylor may not even go to London if he has a concussion unless he

If a player can play…..they play. They want to beat Green Bay. If they determine he can play effectively without putting himself or the team at excess risk, he will play…. and he should.
Is during the game, when they got him back on the field, they seemed to just tape over the foot. I probably missed this, but you can also put a sleeve, like a boot over an ankle and its way more effective (not a walking boot just a lot of support on the area). I was surprised they didn't do that, or it didn't look like they did it, unless they did it in the tent and this was on top of that.

yup i had one and i couldnt walk without the boot on it..
If Jones went out there with a high ankle sprain i am even more imoressed withhow tough he is..
if you watch the video his leg gets trapped like a typical high ankle
but it doesn't twist as violently as most of them. chao did say he thinks he'll be out this week.
idk if you guys saw jones running on the sideline but he was running better than any player ive ever seen with a high ankle sprain. so i think there's a chance we just got lucky it's a really minor one.

By video, the fourth-year quarterback appeared to suffer a mild left high-ankle sprain - ( New Window )
