Behind a paywall so cannot link. They have the Eagles, Bills and Chief 1-2-3, which makes sense to me. The Giants are ranked 22nd and ahead of such teams as the Raiders, the Saints and the Colts, which doesn't quite make so much sense to me.
Here is a truncated write up on Giants:
"Good enough to beat bad teams...The players (after Bears game) gave the credit to the coaching... (and they) are all... pleasantly surprised by coaching competency...Giants defense... ranks 13th in defensive EPA per drive... second in the percentage of time they play man coverage... first in blitz rate..."
Most likely it will start to catch them this Sunday in London
Seems like the goal posts are getting moved here. Pretty sure many, probably the majority had them losing to the Titans, even quite a few to the Panthers.
I get it though, if a bad team, or even a perceived bad team gets an unexpected win, the opponent probably wasn’t that good to begin with.
This is a team that has exceeded expectations in the first 4 games, it is a team that can get better with each passing week or totally collapse into the lane of futility once again
If we use past performances as the metric in which to measure them, surprising start or not. 22 fIts.
But we don’t really know how this might play out. We ve been conditioned to expect and believe the worst, it might play out this team is better than most believe.
Against teams that have a competent offense (such as Green Bay, Baltimore, Seattle, Philly, Detroit, Minny), hard to envision the Giants offense matching their output. All other teams, I think the Giants stand a fair chance.
