Sure it's not the actual record, but no one in 120 seasons of the American League has ever hit as many as Aaron Judge did this year. A home grown Yankee, in a contract year, nonetheless. Remarkable.
As a long time Yankee fan, I haven’t cared at all for the debate about 62, 73, whatever. Judge’s achievement will stand the test of time regardless of what you think is the record
The fact he’s about as good a guy as you find in professional sports makes it all the more rewarding to witness
But congrats to the new home run champion, I don't recognize Bonds, Sosa, or McGuire. The baseball hipocrits cashed in and couldn't do the right thing and strip them from any record. Same as Houston, should have stripped them thier championship and have none. But baseball has become a piece if shit dirt run by morons.
That Judge is going to get screwed out of the MVP this season. The non NY media has a hard on for what Ohtani is doing. I understand what Ohtani is going hasn’t been done before but his pitching and hitting numbers don’t rival those of Judge’s IMO. I’ve just seen it way too many times (Jeter being screwed out of the MVP in 2006, Judge screwed out of MVP in 2017, and Matsui being screwed out of the Rookie of the Year in 2003)

Even Andujar might have deserved ROY over Ohtani's short season. OR Sanchez deserved ROY for his short season.
Gentlemen, I am a Mets fan but really was happy to follow this journey. He appears to be a class act and a great human being. Ruth, Mantle/Maris now Judge all in your uniform - be proud Yankee fans.
(And honestly pretty likely) Judge is taking SARMs (something they really have no idea how to test for in many circumstances other than what WADA does with constant monitoring that baseball isn’t - even WADA isn’t catching a bunch of stuff) in a contract year with millions on the line and he’s absolutely killing it.
Just like Big Dex is almost certainly back on the osterine because he’s in a contract year and all of a sudden can handle 50% more snaps.
The naivety is astounding.
Newsflash - athletes all juice these days, especially in contract years.
Probably the greatest individual season I've ever watched from wire to wire. He got off to a slightly slow start in April, but once that first HR came, they just never stopped. He hit for average all year long. He played CF out of necessity and did it very well as a natural RF, he stole bases, he gunned runners down, he was clutch, he was and is the unquestioned leader of the team. Every guy in that clubhouse looks up to him - even the guys who are older.
He did everything. He's the MVP.
Even the Giants on Facebook congratulated Judge & the Yankees:

Most Astros fans hate the Yankees more than Yankee fans can possibly hate Boston. They believe MLB favors the Yankees in every facet of the game from scheduling/TV to favored umpire choices to special baseballs. So obviously it doesn't stop just short of AJ.
Many Astros fans are convinced Judge's size and ability are only due to steroids.
My autumn wish is to have the Yankees path to a WS appearance go through Houston (would love to see them knocked out sooner?) and Judge takes them to the woodshed.
I don't know if Jesus could hit a curve ball, but Jesus couldn't prevent Judge from hitting #62!
Did you go looking for a meme to fit your awful attempt at a joke, or did you retrofit a terrible joke into the only baseball-related meme you could think of?
You would've thought it was a home game by the reaction in the stands.
I thought it was described well on the broadcast. Regardless of how people feel about the PED era when HR numbers were unhinged, Judge is only the 6th player in all of baseball history to reach the 60 HR mark in a single season.

Unprecedented love from an unlikely source, but indeed a class act. After all we all come from the same patch of earth

Don't forget Pettite being screwed out of the Cy Young in '96. That being said, I don't see any way Judge doesn't get it.
Lol
Easiest Yankees player to root for me since Mickey Mantle.
Classy in every way.

Let’s be real: Aaron Judge, not any of those juiced-up guys from the steroid era, is now MLB’s rightful record holder
Even Andujar might have deserved ROY over Ohtani's short season. OR Sanchez deserved ROY for his short season.

Aaron Judge's 62 home runs is a remarkable achievement.
Barry Bonds' 73 home runs is the record.
There is nothing else to discuss.

Ohtani had an amazing season but, the Angels were terrible. Most outstanding player? Sure. Not most valuable player.
That means alot...seriously

Sounds like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. So you don't appreciate my humor, but how is this other poster a troll ?
They're the same person.

That's actually a great call. I'm (pleasantly) surprised that Sterling didn't get more cartoonish about it.
