both for him and for us. He needs to prove to the league he can play through injuries and we need him because he’s our best chance at winning on Sunday. Hope it happens.
if he plays, he won't be running bootlegs like he did last Sunday. That will take away 50% of our offense because we have no WRs. He may not even be able to scramble away from the inevitable pass rush he'll likely face almost every time he drops back to throw. The Packers will likely just blitz the hell out of him.

He looked pretty damn good rolling left in that video posted. And still has another 4 days before kickoff. To suggest they will have to take away 50% of the offense or he couldn’t even scramble is not only premature, it could also be completely inaccurate come game day

And we have no WR’s, he will be crucified on this board because of performance. I hope he doesn’t read. I wish people would rally around the kid sucking it up and playing but never happen.

YEa I tend to agree --more that Jones needs to show he can play while a little bit hobbled. He uses his AA to get by quite often, which is fine, but you want to see Jones flourish when his legs aren't 100%. I know guys like Eli and Simms could do so. I'd like to see Jones prove this because in year's past it appears he struggles some.

Not sure you read...
Trying to tough it out and show all-effort for the team

You genuinely are worried about players seeing criticism of their play on BBI?
If that's the case, we need new players - either find some that are good enough that they don't get criticized, or tough enough that they aren't sad about things they read on a fan site.
If you're that worried about players reading BBI, though, you really should polish up your writing skills. They're all going to think you're an idiot if they read your posts the way you write them now.
wow that video looks promising for him to play in London!
I've got to believe that what Daboll let's the media see is purposeful. My gut says that him showing the Jones rollout to the press has no bearing on whether Jones is going to play. It might even point to him not playing.
He needs to run. If its the type of injury that would benefit from rest it may be a good idea not to push it. I'd rather he sit for a week than him play on a bum wheel for most of the season. We don't have that information so I just hope they're smart about it.
Webb will start and Jones will play only if Webb gets hurt. Plus a fairly robust use of wildcat with Saquon and Toney. Just my hunch, I have no special insight.
Jones has to show he can perform as a drop back passer. His running style leads to too many injuries. We can't have minor foot injuries shut him down. If he can move as he has shown he needs to play.
that would be the foot he lands on, not drives off.
anyway, based on video, he looks like he will be ready sunday
go blue!

If I had to choose, I might choose the right leg. He can be pretty secure in how he sets his right foot. Left foot could end up anywhere, including on top of a rusher or o-lineman. Also, if he is going to get hit, less likely that it would be the right leg. In any case, if he starts and can play, he is one tough SOB.

why do some of you get so butt hurt when people try to defend Jones?
I don't. I think he's done an admirable job this season considering the shit hand he's been dealt, but still not enough for me to think he's the long term answer @ the position, unfair as that might be to DJ. Neither option-franchise or long term-would be a good allocation of the team's resources going forward IMO.

Yeh it would be one thing if we had a line that could pass protect or literally any NFL WRs, but sometimes you gotta lose the battle to win the war. I’m just struggling to figure out a gameplan that can produce and protect him. I get flashbacks to Arizona and Baltimore (although he looks way more mobile than he did in that Zona week). If they sat him against Zona does the offense produce a bit more against Balt with a more mobile Jones?
RE: Of course he was! The injury was a false flag!

Depending on where they draft, or if there is a quarterback in which they have enough conviction to spend any draft capital necessary to move up; isn’t it possible they try to sign him to a 2 year deal at say 15 mil per season?
There are other scenarios in which he comes back other than either of the franchise tags….no?

I'm not as optimistic as you are.
Nobody isn’t rooting for the Giants.
