PFF grades for 2022 rookies

I think Neal and KT5 will excel. I worry that Robinson and Flott
do not have the size to stay healthy in the NFL.
rookies - ( New Window )
Phillies Devonte Smith is smaller/lighter than both

Living up to their pre draft hype. It’s early but a lot of people wanted Lindenbaum with one of our first round picks and he’s been meh.

Good to see Jack Jones near the top of the corner list, hell of an athlete
Robinson is 5’8” 178

He’s short but not small. He had the same kind of injury ad LW and Thibs. Are they too small as well.
Lots

Of guys take time to develop. Thibodeaux missed a lot of time and also needs to get strong in his legs. Neal will be all right, especially as a run blocker.

Kyle Hamilton got consistently roasted as the Dolphins came back. Still feel he's a fringe type 1st rounder. Cardinals did that with Zaven Collins and Isiah Simmons. Both guys great athletes but not as top prospects.

I read lindenbaum has done exceptionally well in Baltimore, hasn’t let up a pressure or sack
I was impressed, as much as I hate to say it, with Tyler Smith. Was supposed to play guard but filled in well at LT

There's actual data out there that the bigger players are more injury prone (to a certain point), but this trope still gets thrown out there. At WR injuries start nosediving at 175 lbs. The reality is size is a bigger impact on actually being able to play then injury.

He's pretty compact, the bigger issue is his catch radius is practically nothing because he has short arms for his height too.

Who is more likely to sprain their knee in a football game. Someone compact and short to ground or someone long and lean (like we saw with Thibs). It's pretty much a no-brainer.
If you really want to drive yourself crazy with rookie grades...

...Check recent news and grades for Jamaree Salyer. The 195th pick, Salyer is filling in for the injured Rashawn Slater. Those are big shoes, and so far Salyer looks good.

Salyer may not last, and there's no telling what McKethan or Beavers might have done if they hadn't torn their ACLs. Still, the Giants may have have missed another 6th-round OL steal that was hiding in plain sight after a distinguished college career at the highest level of competition. Last year, it was Trey Smith.
I don’t get why

Y’all keep saying that. They’re both bigger than more than a few productive players in the league. They will be fine, find another argument
