They’ll elevate Webb, right?
This WR group

is seriously lacking. Even hoping for health from Toney and Robinson isn't a big fix- they play similar styles and no idea how long they would stay healthy.

Yes.
Would be great

Wan'Dale is 5'8" and Kadarius is 6'. Toney can line up anywhere on the field. Suspect Kafka and Daboll viewed Robinson as the inside and backfield type that we've seen heavily in their offenses in Buffalo and Kansas City. They're not the same at all to me.

Umm, not to shoot your opinion down but, they are exactly the same style. More quick than fast, more mherky jerky moves in the open field, more slot, in the backfield , out wide but not deep and across the middle.

Toney has shown nothing outside to be considered that kind of WR.
Where's the obligatory "Daniel if going to fight?"

Great news re Love. He's been a beast
Disappointing news re: Robinson BUT
GiantSteps : 10/7/2022 11:46 am : link
It sounds like he’s getting pretty close. At least Richie James can go, and maybe we get Wan’Dale back next week.

Sucks to not have Ojulari too.

But to be honest, I thought there would be more guys out this week. Here’s hoping the guys who play can stay healthy, and who knows? Maybe we have a puncher’s chance in this game.
Jones
armstead98 : 10/7/2022 12:06 pm : link
By far the most important one and not limited in practice. We have a chance if the D can keep GB in check
Not surprising Wan dale isn't ready
Dave on the UWS : 10/7/2022 12:20 pm : link
He was borderline to play this week. Didn't respond well from practicing yesterday. It happens, these guys are not robots.
Better than expected

That’s huge against Rogers. Dodged one there

Dave on the UWS : 10/7/2022 12:36 pm : link
impose their will on GB's DL. That's how this team needs to play at the moment.
Its Clear That The Defense Is Going to Have To Carry Us This Week
LTIsTheGreatest : 10/7/2022 1:04 pm : link
with the receiver core very thin and the Packers stacking the box to keep Barkley in check. Hopefully Jones has enough mobility this week that he can escape pressure and scramble for some yards. Defense needs to play a great game though for us to have a chance. Would be huge to have LW back with Azeez out
it's time...

pimp time

Pimpleton should get some run this week - he's probably the closest skill-type to all those slot guys we're missing
In some ways
OlyWABigBlue : 10/7/2022 1:09 pm : link
it is a relief that Taylor is ruled out. It looked like he got his bell rung pretty hard and was clearly concussed. I'd rather the team err on the side of safety with this one. I hope he is back quickly and healthy soon.
I assume Sills will get the most snaps among the WRs for his blocking.
Big Blue Blogger : 10/7/2022 1:11 pm : link
Might see a lot of "13" personnel, with Barkley, Sills and three TEs. We're not fooling anyone this week.

To the extent the Giants throw, the main targets will probably be Richie James, the running backs and tight ends. I hope Darius Slayton and Marcus Johnson can keep the safeties somewhat honest. They at least provide some straight-line speed.

Pimpleton certainly would have been center stage if James were out. He still might be elevated to back up James and take on punt retuns.

Elevations may be scarce this week. Webb presumably gets one. That just leaves one for a receiver. With James active and Toney/Golladay out, that elevation probably goes to Johnson rather than Pimpleton. Might depend how confident they are that James can make it through the game.

I don't think they can elevate more than two players. That leaves a squeeze in a few places. Jefferson was reportedly prominent in practice this week; maybe that was just a precaution while Love progressed through the concussion protocol. No room for Quincy Roche or Ryder Anderson either, so the front seven will be a bit thin. Cornerback depth is a mess too, but there's not much help on the Practice Squad for that hole anyway.

That's not a room. It's a friggin phone booth.
I think they try more of what they did last week
DavidinBMNY : 10/7/2022 2:46 pm : link
I could see them going very big on offense. 2 rbs. Possibly elevate the 4th TE because you have a better shot of keeping 3 TE out a lot and if one gets hurt, you need another.

With Robinson on IR they have 2 roster spots. Plus the 2 call ups. Unless they made a move. The energy jolt is if they Activate collins. That would be a blast.

If I were a DC, I'd have consider leaving Slayton wide open.
This is ridiculous. Every single year.
Blue21 : 10/7/2022 3:12 pm : link
I knew Tony was out but really hoping WanDale would play. Packers must be licking their chops. They have a very good secondary to begin with. They are going to load the box up and dare them to throw.

You think Pimpleton could pop one this week?
If LW comes back
Joe Beckwith : 10/7/2022 3:50 pm : link
even for 50% of the game, Ward can go back to DE.
Time for more Davidson.

I don’t see how we can elevate him from the PS. I think you are only allowed to bring up 2 PS players a game.

I’m pretty sure they will have to bring up Marcus Johnson, WR and Davis Webb, QB.

I don’t see how they could bring up Pimp unless he is activated to the 53. I don’t think they will do that.

What do you think?

I'm throwing a like on this.

Hopefully he'll be able to squirt free for a long one.

Impose their will... LOL. You mean sustain a block? Forget the bullshit cliches. They just need to block somebody.
