Worcestershire sauce, dash or two (or ten) of Tabasco, plenty of fresh ground pepper lot of horseradish and good ice cold vodka. Nice stalk of celery dipped in some Maldon salt too. Sometime I favored a lime or maybe a lemon.

That's a nice way to start the NFL Sunday!
Yeah good call with all that TrueBlue. I also add a green olive and a piece of very crispy bacon to each drink.
5 dashes of Worcestershire
5 dashes of Tobasco
Couple pinches of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon grated horseradish
Juice of 1/4 lemon
1/8 teaspoon celery seed
2 oz booze gin or vodka - I prefer vodka for this
Shake with ice
Salt rim
Pour all into glass
Garnish with what you would like
I typically do olives and celery stalk
But sometimes I get crazy with shrimps and lobster and bacon
If you can find Zing Zang up north by y’all it’s the greatest. Lived in New Orleans for 8 years at that was always the “go to” for brunch parties. Pickled green beans and okra as well.

Zing Zang for sure, and some chopped horseradish to freshen it up
Just had it first time last night, it's good, but definitely requires tobasco, worceshire, and a healthy dollop of horse radish.
To the OP, trueblue's is good advice. As to V8, just made a bloody with it the night before. I don't think it's what it used to be, watery, lacks punch, I'd go Clamato
You need to ask your friend if he likes his with some heat, punch

and my recipe includes some pickle brine, celery seed and Sriracha. Personally, I like a drink to be a drink, and an appetizer to be an appetizer. I go with friends to Stein Erickson's in Deer Valley for brunch usually when I'm visiting Utah, and their Mary's have 3-4 things stuck on toothpicks, which I just put aside.
I had one in Portland Maine at Central Provisions that was great. It was garnished with Kimchi, and I'm pretty sure there was Kimchi pureed into the tomato juice part of the drink. On the same trip I had a great one at Rustic Roots in Shelburn VT, great place.
But the key is the flavor. along with the usual ingredients already touched on here; one good secret ingredient is a shot or so of Guinness. Another one is adobo pepper. Get the Goya chipotle you see in stores. Chop up approximately a teaspoon worth of that pepper/paste per each glass, and add even more worcheshire to balance out the Smokey hot sweet flavor from the chipotle. And the Guiness. And the rest. And green olives. That my friends is a flawless Bloody Mary.
I’ve tried every secret ingredient or “cutting” agent you can think of
The key is to somehow cut the tomato and intensity of the whole thing without overdoing it. If you look at the ingredients of all the decent mixes there usually some kind of sweetening agent — you may see raisin paste or molasses. The mixes are ok but can be Too sweet or too weird for lack of a better word. Never tried the zag one mentioned here. But after scouring the globe, web and known universe, I found that the Guiness, adobo and extra worsheshire the magic formula. Perfect blend of sweet and savory.

But my wife and friends do. Anytime I make Bloody Mary’s I use spicy V-8 juice with vegan Worcestershire sauce, prepared horseradish, green tabasco, celery salt, touch of bay, and either Tito’s or Ketel one, All ingredients cold vodka from freezer. I make large pitchers when entertaining and use ice spheres to keep it cold and let people put it on the rocks if they like. The spheres melt slower to not water down the drink.
I generally serve it with a kind of relish tray for people to garnish as they wish. I use celery, spicy Dilly beans, jalapeno stuffed olives, blue cheese stuffed olives, and pickle spears. When we have large groups I will make candied bacon, and what I call tabasco berries which is regular tabasco sauce and bloomed unflavored gelatin then mold in small silicone jellybean molds you can use any hot sauce really and they think it’s a trip and very easy.
I avoid Clamato & regular Worcestershire due to the seafood factor.
I’m not that keen on Bloody Marys made with tomato juice and the like. But I LOVE it made with tomato water. Requires some time to make (chopped tomatoes set in a strainer in the fridge). But really nice clean & refreshing drink.
in Mohegan Sun called Hash House a Go Go, I think it's a chain or at least there are a few of them (one other in Vegas).
Kind of like a farm to table concept (at least they say something like that).
Woke up hungover and went to get some breakfast and they had a bloody mary with a BLT on a skewer in it, lol.
It was awesome.
And then I ordered fried chicken eggs benedict - when the waiter brought the food out my buddies started laughing because the plate of food was massive. they said no way you are going to eat all that. I said bet me. and they did. So I had 10 minutes to eat all the food on that plate and I did and won $50 plus my meal being paid for.
That and the bloody mary were probably 5,000 calories.
Later I found out that dish was on man vs food (the good one with Adam Richman).
another option perhaps. It's just like a Bloody Mary, except with beer and Tajin.
Although I say Clamato is necessary at this point...I can't drink it with V8 or Tomato juice.
Pretty similar recipe:
Clamato
Salt
Pepper
Hot sauce
Worcestershire sauce
Tajin (inside and on the rim)
Beer - your choice - although I wouldn't use Guinness, lol
Lemon juice (if you must) or pickle juice (the best)
and add whatever else for the food.
and ice of course.
So I’m obviously in one hell of a good mood, but I just so happened to have a bottle of zing Zang in my little bar in the basement, we had it from the summer but never used it due to me making them homemade. More a backup. I didn’t pay it no mind until i realized it was mentioned here as the favorite mix. I gotta say it’s really fucking good. I actually added just a little water as it’s very strong celery salt sweet tangy flavor but I agree it’s probably the best mix I ever tried.
That's a nice way to start the NFL Sunday!

Dang, you beat me to it. *grin*
Best Bloody mix money can buy. Tito's IMO is the perfect vodka for them.
Consider a bloody mary mini bar so she can choose the accoutrements.
Study this image carefully and let it guide you ( I could do without any cheese):
Bill, I'll have to use some celery seed next time. I love to make a good salad, and celery salt definitely enhances
And plenty of it
Fun tips
