#LFGM!
Scherzer, deGrom, Bassitt, Alonso, Lindor all coming up small when it matters most.
They've ruined us.
Yep. As much as the offense has come up small, it’s the pitching that has really shit the bed.
Max is getting paid the huge bucks and had all the playoff experience, and he’s been by far the worst offender.
As much as a met fan I am I will root for the low payroll teams going forward
If you are going to do that, then go all out to build a beast of a lineup, because a 37 year old arm is not here for long.

Darvish is 36, he seems to be pitching fine. Is it the 1 year?

Our best players have been shit when it counts
Let’s see what Jake gives us tomorrow, shutting them down would reestablish him as the best pitcher in MLB.
He did the same thing last year with the Dodgers with the "tired arm," What pitcher does not have a tired arm by October?
He is coming up small. So is Lindor. might be the pressure of the contracts.

…category. Why would a free agent ever choose to come here? Yes I’m thinking of Aaron Judge.

I doubt it - only we love the Mets the way we do. Cohen won’t offer enough. It’s all a pipe dream anyway.

shouldn't have been put on the arm of a 37 year old pitcher.

Sticking with Scherzer, yeah, maybe it is. Because the Scherzer was fine last season and now he looks out of gas when needed.
I doubt it to be honest. He doesn't hide injuries. He took himself out this season. He wouldn't take the ball with the season on the line for the Dodgers because of an injury.
There's no real history in his career that he is the guy to try to push through things. I just think he sucked. His best outing since returning was in Milwaukee. Each time after has been worse.

I don't think it will happen either. But Cohen can definitely get him if he offers enough.
It might depend on whether Mets still take the "win now" with Max and Jake approach.
Nah go easy on the rest Rob - that was on me - I used Judge as an example free agent. I know the timing is not the greatest.
The question is do you pay deGrom after this finish?
It seemed unthinkable 2 months ago. He was tremendous in August.
Now...how do you want to spend $40M per season?
Will he even get that on the open market after the finish to this season?
“Not a Mets fan” this is probably why you have more confidence than us.
Hopefully this inspires something in this team
And yes!! Win tomorrow and get to Sunday!!

Tell me you're under 25 without telling me you're under 25.
I don't know. I'd give Nimmo a break. He has a triple tonight and he went 4-12 with a walk in the Braves series.

Nimmo is a guy who looks great for a lot of stretches during the regular season but then when it counts, he seems to come back down to earth.

I would NOT resign him

In fact this entire bunch of stiffs spit the bit down the stretch
deGrom, Scherzer, The other starters and Alonso, Lindor, Nimmo.
Am I Wrong?
Not a 1 or 5 game choke job...the entire month of September.
Not here to over react just an observation.
If you watch everyday you know you can't ask for much more in a baseball player. Sheesh..
Unbelievable

Moze...
I love him, but as a free agent if he is going to ask for the moon...we can lose with or without him...

+1. It's despicable.

I've been watching Mete baseball religiously since 1992...so it's been 30 years of this for me..
But not quite sure what you're insinuating
