This is the thread for "real" Knicks fans and not the pretenders in the other thread who want to trade and fire anyone who even works nears MSG including the cashier at the pizza place across the street.
Damn, we got a good team this year and it's only going to get better
At the very least, they are fun to watch. Sims’ D and board at the end of the game was huge.
Even those of you drinking the RandleHateraid...need to admit he played outstanding!!!!
RJ is clearly under the weather, and probably should not have played so many minutes.
Cam,Brunson,IQ all stepping up
I had a feeling this road trip would be a bonding experience and so far it has been.
Alls great in Knicks land after beating Denver without their perennial MVP candidate! Bring out the real fan pom poms! Championship, baby!
He is. He's been really good this year on defense.
But settle down, everyone. It's still early and we're still trying to get over injuries and new faces. Don't get too up, or too down. Look at our own G-Men. Enjoy it, but be realistic about things.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it

It was a joke
but being sick is not an excuse for how he played last night and i am jist going to leave it at that..
Let Quickley or even Grimes play the 2.
Randle has some mental issues all the talent in the world but insanely inconsistent in every part of the game. Last night took the ball to the rim, boxed out offensively and played lock down D in the 4th. He flashed like this in January of last season and it fell off in a hurry.
I don't think anyone trusts him outside of Thibs in the NBA.
No Robinson for Knicks helped Denver

No Jokic obviously helped.

Jokic is a weeeeeeeeeeee bit better than Mitch
I thought he was referring to the Sbarro's on 7th Avenue, that place can definitely go.

You're a hard man to please...
RJ is a long way from his Prime and hopefully he continues to grow and his efficiency improves I don't think he is topped out yet.
Is he a star and will he be absolutely not everyone needs to lower the bar on him.

I mean... isn't being sick EXACTLY an excuse for how he played last night? Can we hold off on the doom and gloom for a bit?

What did i say that was doom and gloom?
Hey, I don't make the rules on BBI. But once one segment of the fan base starts calling themselves real fans then it's too late for the other side of the argument to claim that title. So in this case, the optimistic Knicks fans are the real ones while it's the opposite in the Giant game threads.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it
No, you
Its not an excuse, i didnt say he sucks, i didnt say he has sucked all year, i didnt say trade him (it was a joke)..
But being sick and being sluggish is one thing, playing selfish, forcing shots is another and it ia not something new or because he was sick..
then I'm going to threaten to delete this thread...
Just kidding. But seriously, I think JR has adjusted his game to Brunson skills more quickly than RJ

His 3-point shooting seems to have taken a step back and we rarely see that floater anymore. I figure he's working on sort of breaking down and rebuilding his game on offense, thinking more like a point guard. But he seemed to be on his way to being a logo shooter, and the Knicks could sure use that. Not complaining, just hoping for more from the kid.
Quickley has learned how to effect the game without scoring, when he gets hot its awesome plus but he is effecting the gMe playing defense, rebounding and getting others open shots
IQ
Cam
Obi
JR
Do it…

I think he lent his floater to Hart... he might be taking it back soon...

Yea the OP is a little....odd....but these were 2 huge wins no matter who played. 2 road wins against 2 winning teams right as the bottom appeared to be dropping out... you can't understate that.

Not trying to be combative, but to me, that's a negative take. Like, it is an excuse that he's sick. If he's on the floor, he's going to play like he's going to play. He usually takes those shots, if he feels good maybe he makes them.
I mean Thibs surely knew that my dude was sick. Randle apparently was sick too. But if you guy who just doesn't have it, play someone else. I think you have to be mindful of all that.
Every fucking thread every game...same lamenting same worry same shit. Fucking relax. Same with NYG threads.

But if you are not feeling it, there is no reason to keep chucking, i am sorry i dont buy that as an excuse to keep shooting..
Find a different way to effect the game, you feel sick? ok use your energy on defense and rebound and the other players will pick up the slack, which they did..
Cam took 5 shots last night, did he make an impact? IQ scored 6 points did he make an impact?
Its not jist about scoring and Rj has not realized that yet, its why he is horribly ineffecient
Every fucking thread every game...same lamenting same worry same shit. Fucking relax. Same with NYG threads.
I am sorry but that is ridiculous, so we arent supposed to criticize a player in year 4 who continues to do the same shit he did his rookie year?
Sure he can score 20ppg but he is horribly ineffecient, you cant win with a player like that, its the same shit we say about Julius..

Is definitely an issue...no doubt, and Thibs may need help in coaching him out of it....
Not everyone is going to have the MJ flu game. I'm sure the coaching staff was aware that he was sick. If they don't like the way you're playing, you should sit.
I really like djm's post. RJ's fine. I want him to be better, I want him to be more efficient, but he's fine as he is.
