Jordan didn't have the flu. He had food poisoning. Bad enough but not the flu. And I would bet he was not about to puke when he actually played that game. If he was puking he aint playing.

Same with Emmitt Smith's overstated shoulder injury in 93. BArkley is probably playing with a similar injury week after week and he's not getting the Smith treatment.

Grimes takes Rose's spot (playing with IQ off the bench) and you keep the nine-man rotation.

I've linked the Knicks Film School convo with him and Macri below.

He defends Thibs a bit. Fournier's already out of the rotation, Cam is playing big minutes, IQ is playing way more than Rose, and Obi and Randle are playing together more in small lineups.

Also, player development is a big plus - Cam, Obi, Quickley have all improved noticeably. RJ's the same guy he was at Duke, unfortunately. Hard to argue.

I agree and been saying some of that myself. I don’t get the hate everything Thibbs take so many here seem to have.
