but the fact that guys like Suh and Linval Joseph were on the market at this point in the season, it probably doesn't say a lot for their potential to move the needle in their run defense.

That might be just right, but those two guys will allow rotation of a now deep interior DL and keep the bodies they do have fresh. Someone said it after the Linval signing: this prolly means Jordan Davis (do I have his name right?) is not back in the next few games.
You have to think Jordan Davis is done for a while. Why would they make both of these moves if he was coming back. You can only dress so many players, this and the Joseph moves seem like throw anything at the wall type of thing to see what sticks as a desperation move. Maybe it works, but we will see.

It looks that way. They got exposed on Monday and they are looking like a team that knows their run D could derail a great season.

Gotta think Davis could be out for a bit. Eagles are all in for 2022 and hoping to keep the boat afloat with two old timers who couldn't find work elsewhere.
Was really bad last year. Don't let the sack count fool you.
This isn't 2018 0r 2017. These guys are not very good. Average? Maybe, but they're being brought in to save their run defense and Suh ain't doing that.

Suh was not even really a run defender last year, he played more on passing downs. They are just collecting a lot of 3 point DTs
Suh and Joseph. Over 30 but fresh legs for late season push.

And you would be excited if we we signed both of them
They have 1 loss all year. If you are going to mortgage the future(?) ... it might as well be this year and add another trophy? That is what they are thinking anyway?

Eagles saw Washington push them around and are trying to do something about it

They're 8-1....I highly doubt that

They're going to see Jonathan Taylor about 30 times on Sunday. Let's see how they respond.
So true re: Suh.

By that logic, the Giant starting Jake Fromm last year wouldn't have been desperation if the Giants had a better record

No one knows when it will close
Their secondary was weak - so they traded for Slay, gardener-Johnson and got bradberry
Now their run D is a weak link so they got Linval and now Suh
It’s attractive to go to a team poised to play In the SB
They don’t need these guys to play a lot of snaps - but they are betting for them having something left when it counts
I grudgingly admire their front office
When we have some of these albatrosses off the books (Golladay) hopefully we will be able to make some moves

I agree.. as much as I hate that team. Much respect to their owners and GM.

I get it....
Fuck' em.
