I worry about next two games
Really hope we can get one
Dont want to go into washington on two game losing streak
We are getting closer to getting some top player back ( neal, bellinger and ojulari)
Hopefully X for eagles game or at least the last few games
We need this game. Thursday against Dallas will be a tall order. Get to 8-2 and at worst we should finish 10-7, which will most likely get us wildcard. Making the playoffs would be a monumental accomplishment for this franchise in 2022.
Lots of insights. Always an enjoyable read that gets me psyched up for the next game!
Just one thing has me a little confused:
"The Giants have played nine games. In six of those games (all wins), they have run the ball more than they have thrown it. In both of their losses, they have thrown the ball more than they have run it."
Did the Giants lose to Dallas and Seattle because they passed the ball more than they ran it, or were they behind in the 4th quarter (and with the clock against them) they were forced to pass the ball?
my guess would be a 4 man front with 2 DT, 2 LBs inside and 5 DBs since the Lions can be a high flying offense but eith the weather cold and windy they may run more..
Offensively run the ball down their throat and then throw off play action.

I get where you re coming from, but a 2-5 finish if they get to 8-2 would be disappointing. I think this team is being underestimated even by their fans,
we ll see
I think NY gets spanked. Without Mckinney, Detroit's mis-direction and solid OL, would make it very difficult on us. But this will be outside, in windy, cold weather. Dome teams often make a lot of mistakes and essentially, beat themselves!
If they can hold Detroit to around 20 points, they should be in good shape.

Oh for ffs man. The Giants have played plenty of games on the road and against a hell of a lot better teams than the freakin Lions. How you come away saying they’d get “spanked” if the game was in Detroit is fucking laughable. Jeezus. You people need to grab your damn balls. The amount of platitudes going around here for the Lions is stuff of legend. Yeah, they’d get spanked. Based on absolutely NOTHING that we’ve seen from this team. You’d think they were 0-9 and playing the ‘07 undefeated Patriots the way some of you are yacking this week
That's a big loss. St. Brown is a nice possession guy, but he doesn't scare anyone downfield. Ex-Bronco/Giant/Jet/Titan jouneyman Khalif Raymond is the backup. Without Reynolds or Hockenson, the Lions' receiving corps is on the same level as ours. That should make McKinney's absence easier to bear.
Survive this one, fight to 8-2, then try to stitch together a plan for Dallas.
Here's the official announcement re. Lemieux and Cager.
Guard Shane Lemieux has been activated from reserve ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Tight end Lawrence Cager was also elevated from the practice squad.
Lemieux has played in 13 games with 10 starts since being a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. After starting the season opener in 2021, Lemieux suffered a knee injury that forced him to miss the remainder of the season. A toe injury suffered in the team's first preseason game this year led to him being placed on injured reserve at the end of training camp. He was then designated to return to practice on November 7.
Lemieux's activation brings the roster to 53.
Cager was elevated from the practice squad for the third consecutive game. He caught his first two passes as a Giant in last week's win over the Houston Texans, including his first career touchdown.
Cager was originally signed to the practice squad on October 18.
wow... I missed that. Thanks.

That would be different
Also if Barkley gets through the line of scrimmage most likely there is only one defender to beat.
Hope someone on the Giants is reading this.

Because we all know that in the history of football, nobody in the back seven has ever beaten a lineman's block and made a play in the backfield.

Cager is now out of elevations. A promotion to the roster appears inevitable with Bellinger still held out of contact.
Lemieux activated from IR; Cager elevated for Sunday. - ( New Window )
