Five Giants Questionable for Lions Game - (
New Window )
Moreau who has been a pleasant surprise at corner has worked at safety before coming to the Giants. He has the size and working in Ro Williams at corner might pay dividends in the future.
Yup. The team will need a roster spot for Lawrence Cager next week. I figure they will waive Anderson and sign Cager on Monday, then re-sign Anderson to the practice squad on Tuesday if he clears waivers. He might be back in uniform in time to run with the scout team in practice. In effect, Cager and Anderson will simply trade places. That's all assuming injuries don't change the outlook tomorrow.
Can they put Williams on an island against Noah Brown, Michael Gallup, or DeVonta Smith? Time will tell. This week offers an opportunity to test out some packages and give them some game experience. St. Brown, Raymond and Reynolds aren't on the same level as the Dallas receivers, let alone Philly's, but they are good enough to test a secondary.
I really like how the Giant coaching staff has been able to develop some young players while still bringing home the W's.
All of our current year draft choices have played and contributed in addition to some notable UDFA's.
Additionally the coaching staff has developed some past draft year players that seemed to underwhelm in the past. I'm thinking Aaron Robinson, Gary Brightwell, Elerson Smith so maybe they can work their magic with Rodarius. Give him some snaps. Work him in where they can. Get some videotape on him that can be used as a further coaching aide.
You can never have too many quality cb's. It doesn't look like ARob is coming back this year. Should we make a run at the playoffs, it would be good if Ro has some quality snaps under his belt should the injury bug hit again.
