He really isn’t tho. But I’m sure you’ve uncovered a league wide conspiracy to keep him from getting sacks
Dude. Every play is hyperbole. But he gets held a lot. Watch the games.
or you could understand the rule
Blocking notes:
(1) When a defensive player is held by an offensive player during the following situations, offensive holding will not be called:
(i) if, during a defensive charge, a defensive player uses a “rip” technique that puts an offensive player in a position that would normally be holding.
Exception: Holding will be called if the defender’s feet are taken away from him by the offensive player’s action
The rip technique is like his only move, hence why it doesn't ever seem to get called
Or I could watch the games and see clear holdings without checking rule book. But cool that you're against a Giant getting obvious calls to the blind eye. You do you pal.

Lol. This might be one of the funniest posts I have seen in years. The poster actually mocks himself and still tries to defend his position.

The poster is me. And I don't give AF what the 'rule book' says. I have eyes. He is being held a lot with no calls.
arguing over something that is not that important.
Lets just have some optimism about what KT can be. He can add a couple more moves. Get stronger and learn the game more. Read screens and other situations which may require him to abandon is original assignment.

.
I m with SF, it sure seems like what I see happening to K. T. gets called for holding a lot every week around the league
Maybe I don’t understand the rule, but why you attacking a good fan and poster like SF for doing what most of us fans do.
You want to make us aware of the rule good, I learn something from what you wrote, but don’t be so dam condescending when you do it.

Yes, would presume that too. The expectations are extremely high for him though being seen as one of the elite edge rushers to come out of the draft over the last few years. And only likely dropping from clear overall #1 due to some red flags that came out on effort and talk of his brand.
And I would also be lying if I didn't say Sauce Gardner's early successes as a Jet doesn't sting a bit. Too bad Schoen missed him by one pick.
Hopefully the QB hits and sacks start piling up for Thibs and this talk all goes away.
The thought he hasn’t lived up to his draft slot is ridiculous. He’s been an all around stud in every aspect of the game. Not to mention he has batted down a few balls as well. His presence and the emergence of ward/oshane makes Ojulari a non thought. Also, I personally think he’s the most overrated player on the roster by giants fans. I’d rather see the combo of ward and oshane over Ojulari even when he’s healthy.
Hutchinson has 28 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 10 quarterback hits, four tackles for loss and one interception, production which dwarfs that of Kayvon Thibodeaux, taken No. 5 by the Giants. In two fewer games, Thibodeaux has 18 tackles, one sack, three quarterback hits, no tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Thanks for posting. I was wondering about that. The tweet had all the hallmarks of trying to mislead with slivers of statistical information.
And to be clear, I'm not down on KT. The tweet just struck me as borderline dishonest
Drafting Thibodeaux will be most of the posters latching onto the lack of sacks.
just to clarify, despite the lack of "sacks" i believe he's doing a great job. I love his swagger that he brings with him and I think he will do fine.
It's just getting old reading about him being held on every play when it's been repeatedly discussed in the past that its due to his use of a rip technique and posters still want to ignore the rules.

That is understandable. Admittedly I did not know about the rip rule until I read it here and confirmed it elsewhere. I honestly do know enough about the responsibilities of an edge rusher (they probably vary scheme to scheme) to know how Kayvon is doing.
One thing I have experienced here is that fans latch onto the first information or data that they feel validates their opinions.
One thing I like about KT is that he is playing smart

Obviously hyperbole to correctly point out that he is held a lot that does seem to get missed

Osi had zero sacks, but he beat the tackle like a drum and rushed Big Ben every play.
You can significantly impact the game without the sack numbers. KT is playing well.
yeah Kavon didnt haze and do very weird stuff in college like Parsons did/

Good luck trying to explain this on a fan site
Not losing sleep over it.
natural pass rusher who has hustled and had a knack for creating turnovers. really solid looking pick.

The Giants traded for Williams during a year he had .5 sacks.

This is a really ignorant statement -- Vernon's problem was he couldn't stay on the field

Olivier Vernon would still be a Giant

You're certainly right about the injuries. But I'll stick with my comment that he also was a disappointment as far as finishing off plays at the QB
