Lions D sucks, cold weather should lead to Goff ineffectiveness. Barkley should run wild again. Just slow down the Lions run game and we could win easily
Will this be a shootout like the last game with Detroit? Daniel Jones
Proved he was capable in that game, although the Giants lost.
The only thing keeping that from happening may be the weather. If both teams turn to their running game, it may be a very fast game with a running clock.
assume we'll have the same game plan we did against Houston, namely run Barkley a lot. It's windy and the Lions have the second worst run defense in the league. They will of course stack the LOS to stop Barkley so someone will have to emerge as a threat in the passing game to get them to back off a little. Maybe Hodgins or Slayton can fill that role.
Long drives will also allow Lawrence and Williams to rest.
I originally thought this would be a high scoring game, but now think the score will be in the teens or twenties.
of mis direction passing plays, meaning look like run one way and Jones keeps rolls and dumps off quickly. I also think we see a full compliment of running backs on the field today. I doubt Barkley goes for 30 plus carries.
Goff has the arm strength for passing in wind but he is awful on the move and isn't always the most accurate.
Could keep scoring down too. Also we have to have sure tackling today, as well. Weather might be more of a factor for the Lions and less for us. This weather plays into our offenses strengths, run and short passing game.

Agreed. We're going to have to manufacture yards. Jones rolling out off bootlegs has helped us so far and could be particularly useful today given the wind. The Lions will likely be ready for that, but we still need to try because those plays can be very effective at keeping drives going.
But with cold and windy weather, plus the fact that I discovered that the high-scoring Lions are averaging just 15 pts/game on the road... I now think it will be a low-scoring affair.
they don't ask Gano for one of his balls that is aimed to the right for about the 5-10 yard line. That play hasn't worked since the Carolina fumble in Game 2. Most of them since have been run back beyond the 25!

Even one or two games experience could prove invaluable in trying to negotiate the wind in today's likely game conditions
Don't let them start to roar.

Yeah Baby!

The kicking net just blew off the Giants' sideline and onto the field. Feel like that has to mean something...
It's very simple. Secure the ball, win in the trenches, and play smart. 8-2 is there for the taking. Let's goooooo!
For my fellow Giants fans, stay warm and bring the noise.

PRs could be a nightmare.

nyg about to sign someone who respects kicking nets.
Wasn't his day off just a rest day?

Is he expected to go?

He has a back injury. He's questionable.
Looking for Barkley and Kayvon to take this game over!
So much better.
This time of year the past few seasons we were going. over Ray’s draft position threads and talking about where we’d pick and who to draft.
So great to be able to talk about wins and playoff position instead!

No surprises. Reynolds leaves a significant hole. Lions hoping Chark can contribute, coming back from the ankle with just a couple of practices.
Golladay gets another chance against his old team. Say what you will about KG, I'd rather see him in uniform than Sills.
Calitro continues to collect the weekly vested-veteran guarantee. Ugh.

Kicking net just overheard the OBJ news and is trying to get the hell out of town.

LOL - good one D HOS!
We don't need that type of jinx. They could have just kept it to themselves.
