Wide receivers Wan’Dale Robinson and Kenny Golladay, who were both questionable with hamstring injuries, are active on Sunday for the New York Giants as they host the Detroit Lions.
Right tackle Evan Neal (sprained MCL) will miss a third straight game, as will tight end Daniel Bellinger (eye). Tyre Phillips will start at right tackle. Tight end Lawrence Cager has been elevated from the practice squad for the third consecutive week.
Offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu (neck) is active, although Shane Lemieux is expected to start at left guard. The Giants activated Lemieux off injured reserve on Saturday. Wide receiver David Sills, who has started five games this season, is inactive for the second consecutive week.
Remember Met catcher could not throw the ball to the mound. Or second baseman steve sax could not throw to first. Golliday is not a bum but he is psyched out. Cannot be relied on to catch a pass. I go with Sills. At least he is a reliable blocker
may be cut tomorrow in favor of Cager. Golladay's contract of course makes it impossible to cut him. They probably don't want to risk Sills getting hurt, and don't see much of a difference between him and Golladay. I doubt Golladay gets a lot of snaps anyway.

I'm not clear on how that works. Could you explain it ? Lets say Golladay is seriously injured today to the point where it carries into next year. He'd be placed on IR, but wouldn't the Giants be prevented from cutting him next year ? Sills on the other hand doesn't make that much money. If he's hurt and placed on IR, isn't the cost much less ?

Completely KG's fault but not really a straight drop of an easy ball. His hands got there (just) but weren't ready to make the catch.
His main problem is separation, which wasn't a problem on that play.
It's Mackey Sasser, mot Mickey. KG IS a bum.
