Giant Insider and BigBlueVCR giving some good updates on teams prepping for the wind. Specials and field position going to play a big role in today's contest.
it must be really boring being a wide out on the Giants . Lions just spyed Barkely that whole drive and they didn't even look to throwing to someone else on 1 3rd and 7!

Maybe it wouldn't be so boring to be a Giants WR if any of them were actually good.

Barkley is the leading receiver on this team. The dude was total stone hands last year.

Not surprising when our WRs never get open. They're the worst in the entire league.

To play a 5th round pick coming off an injury who has never been able to pass block over a 3rd round pick who was starting to play well... Better than Lemieux has ever played. Why? Neck injury?

a better job as the drive went along. I would hope that Lemieux will get better as the game goes along. As was pointed out above, he really hasn't played for 2 years. Its not like throwing a light switch.
The league needs to make that a judgement call by the official vs automatic, Let the Ref judge if was is a slap or a tickle... lol
It was definitely a penalty. Just a stupid play by Ximines, unnecessary
Per the rule yes i realize it was a penalty but the rule is a joke and the there needs to be some allowance for a judgement call it's a continuation "touch" vs an actual hit

I've been critical of a lot of the roughing penalties. This one was easy to throw. He was at least a step or two away, not only put his hands on him, but shoved him down and got one hand on the facemask. It wasn't a bang, bang play. It was easily avoided.

And, he's had an issue with dumb penalties like this.
Normally, this stadium isn't the same wind tunnel Giants Stadium was
Wink should know they’re going to take advantage of our aggressiveness. They did it last week and teams are seeing how they can convert those 3rd downs against us.

I suppose i agree, my point is more to do with the ones the ones that are continuation tickles and still called... league wide

Adoree Jackson (knee) return is questionable. Rookie Cor'Dale Flott in at his spot. #Giants
This is a HUGE concern! And for the life of me, why couldn’t we have anyone else return the punt. There’s got to be someone other then the starting CB#1....and I don’t mean James

The Giants aren't going to use Jackson on PRs and tell him to fair catch everything. The problem was using him in the first place. Need big games from Flott and I assume R. Williams. Offense also needs to get going and stop playing stupid.
think that was a penalty of McFadden but we have played very badly so far today. Just giving the game to the Lions. We haven't been "smart, tough, and dependable."
They got that call, which was totally BS, but they looked like they were going to score there anyway. This is going to be a very difficult game, which we all indicated earlier in the week.
Problem is our margin for error is so slim and even slimmer without starters in there.
Should never have been a PR. That’s way too risky and now it hurts them. Unless it’s not that bad but with the Thursday game they played it safe to rule him out.
Makes that sort of mistake with Adoree, really shakes your confidence in this coaching staff
Setting the team up for failure
And maybe for the rest of the season
Just sucks
Dumbest post i've seen in a long time. Plenty of starters play special teams. No one cried when odell was returning punts
Odell’s job is to catch the ball. Adoree’s job is more to defend the ball, than catch. So your wrong, why would the giants risk their best pass defender in the return game? It’s wrong, and asking for trouble, which is exactly what happened!

Have spotted them 10 pts. The refs have also killed 2 of our drives. I rarely post about the refs, and even more rarely post in the game day thread, but this is egregious. This and Jacksonville are the worst games I’ve seen in a long, long time, and this one’s not even halfway over.
RE: RE: RE: I thought kickers cant make XPs when it's windy.
and grabbing by NY. These refs look for that. A lot of these plays "look" like penalties, so they call it. Too many mistakes today. Detroit is executing pretty well for a domed team.

what does defense vs offense have to do with a random injury where your leg gets twisted up. That can happen anywhere on the field.
Or is your argument that a cb1 is more of a difference maker that a wr1?
living on the edge for weeks now, making more mistakes than they did earlier in the season. When you have a small margin for error, this catches up to you.
Again, this was not expected to be a very good team at all coming into the season. Their depth has been surprisingly good. But their is still a talent deficiency.

The Scottish Hammer has a cool nickname. But he's not that good.
With a nickname like that, I'd like to see him boom one there and turn field position. Instead, he shanks one and sets up a potential late score for Detroit.
can’t keep riding the defense all game all season long. Eventually they need to get a lead in 1st half and sustain with run game.
Lions had good game plan today but they are being incredibly helped by bad officiating and weak play on offense and specials. Lions are giving just enough cushion middle of field. I think they will be fine giving up 300 yards passing.

happens there and then a follow up Jesus commercial to keep everyone appeased. Jesus I hate the NFL sometimes.
yea, lets just ignore the world cup because of where its being held
No issue advertising the games, but the puff piece on Qatar is way out of bounds considering the NFL wants to be all about inclusivity (as they should).
but the most demoralizing part of this game is how bad the officiating is. 2 no call delay of games, a no call false start, phantom PI. this is just a tragic game
isn't over, but this has been a dreadful first half for the Giants full of penalties, turnovers, and missed tackles. We aren't good enough to make that many mistakes and still win on a regular basis.
Team. Those are facts. 6 points against this defense. Having a top 5 player returning punts. Taking kicks out of endzones. Dumb mistakes after dumb mistakes.
The lions are riding the refs calls and are taking advantage..
They need a fucking hairdrying from Daboll as they are getting beaten up by this cocksure Detroit team who more or less assuring themselves of victory...
The Giants need to start punching the Lions in the mouth and
getting their heads out of their arses
No idea what Daboll says at half time, but lets hope it works again
Is just stupid. Bring up that Pimpleton kid if you don’t have anyone. Cut Richie if you have to in order to bring him up. You can’t expose Adoree like that. Stupid, stupid, stupid…..
If Lemiuex comes out in the 2nd half I'm turning this shit off. So much for 7 wins worth of good will, I'm fucking furious right now. Outclassed, outplayed, lost Jackson.
And we're headed to Dallas on a short week. Suddenly feels like this can be a long season.
He’s getting destroyed almost every play. Giants are going to have to score points in this one.
He's dogshit. He's always been dogshit. But he was *slightly* less dogs dogshit than the clowns around him 2 years ago so some people, those of the sub 70 IQ persuasion, actually thought he was a solution.
No lanes for the RBs and of course no time for Jones. Stupid decision to let Jackson return punts. Daboll gets lots of credit but this was a stupid decision. Defense is undermanned and no explanation for some of the stupid penalties.
I generally despise games like this one where there are flags on almost every play but then not when they actually should be called.
Bad half of football. Hopefully they wake up.
Whichever official has the eye on the ball pre snap should have in his earpiece a bell that goes off when the play clock hits zero. Come to think of it, why isn’t this the case?
We've played like shit thus far but some of y'all don't even think we should leave NJ for Thanksgiving @ this rate. & now we have posters saying Jackson might be out a month based on...well, the fuck if I know.
We have to loosen up the box and make them honest on defense
They have us exactly where they want us right now.
We need to set the tone for the second half on Detroits first series.
Against us are the refs with the shitty calls
Against us is the fact we are getting no pressure
Against us is the fact we used a starting cb on returns and
as predicted, he gets injured, everyone on BBI knew it but still they put him back there.
Go Giants, live upto your 2nd half reputation !!
NFL should have a horn that goes off at both ends when clock hits zero
Detroit does not have a good defense. They should be having much more success running the ball then they are. Everyone is run blitzing, they need to overcome that and move the ball on the ground. If they can't, (like today), they can't win.
in first half. I think they need to consider giving Brightwell and Breida more carries in second half too. Barkley will be needed on Thursday because we have 0 offense without him, especially against Dallas who will be bringing it again!
I generally despise games like this one where there are flags on almost every play but then not when they actually should be called.
Bad half of football. Hopefully they wake up.
They shouldn’t be at the whim of the officials. Have a buzzer
Really is no excuse to miss those calls in this day and age. Giants are turning in their worst performance of the year but the refs ain't helping either.
I was concerned coming into this game. We are definitely not playing well on either side of the ball. Using a CB of value to return kicks reminds me of Jason Severn.
Wr have a half of football to prove what we really are made of......

They’ve run the ball better in the second half. Hoped that amounts to something.

That was before we inserted our 5th round pick who has never been able to pass block. And by the way, he doesn't seem to be able to run block either
refs aren't costing us the game. We are. You just got another example with that return by the Lions. Can't go down more than 20-6 and realistically expect to win.

I’m not worried if we go down by 14….3 scores though…it’s over with our WR crew

Sorry but there were plenty of calls and non calls that went against the Giants
Last week I said that if you changed your mindset to “The Giants are a 2-7 team, masquerading as a 7-2 team” that these types of performances would make sense to you.
The Giants losing by 11 to the Lions was totally expected, in my mind. Our record is an illusion. We are vastly overachieving.
That being said… I hope we continue to overachieve and figure this thing out in the 2nd half.

The league says to count a beat after the clock hits zero. Lions went Teo beats, Giants' was immediately.
And here's the question. Why get that beat after zero if they don't do that with the game clock. They blow the whistle at the end of each period as soon as it hits zero. Makes no sense. Just like why if the ball touches the pylon is it a TD. Why. The pylon is out of bounds.
Lions simply better. Cowboys will kill this team. Still remembering that the first half of the season was a mirage. The team is mediocre and cannot afford an effort like this.
I keep hearing that phrase. Trap games are for good teams. This team overachieves and works harder than others. The lack of talent will get exposed, such as today and the SEA game.
Just getting blocked all over the place! And looks like they’re packing it in early.
Too many injuries, penalties, big turnover and lack of execution.
Now they’re going to be pressing and DJ will be forcing things into coverage. This could get even uglier. And now we have Dallas looming on a short week with all these injuries piling up. We might be looking at a turning point in the season and possibly looking at losses piling up now as a result.
Between the penalties, injuries and refs and then add to this the poor play and questionable decision of having Jackson returning punts and this is turning into a shit show.
Hate to say it, but that INT was the turning point in this game.
And next, in my mind, is Lemieux getting eaten up. Why is he starting?
Did you actually think we would win this game? Lions can pout up points. Eventually they would have still bend us over. This game was a loss from the get go. Our offense is a work in progress.

Lions offense is legit, it's the defense that's been erratic.

Yes I did because the Lions also give up more points and are terrible against the run. I think we are beating ourselves today.
He can be a bridge for the next guy. But have to throw to win in the NFL. The running is nice, but post Thanksgiving going to need to throw. I don’t see it with him.
think what happened with Jones on that last INT is that he got desperate as the leader of the team to make something happen which produced a bad throw. He needs to calm down. A TD here puts us back in the game. But we have to score.
Detroit moved the ball with ease from their first drive. By and large its the same names we've seen all year. No excuse for this. The one thing that is unacceptable is to look this lost and uncompetitive. Losses are expected. Losses like this? After the last 9 weeks? Nah, can't do it. Good teams don't lose games like this.
The recipe had been run the football, throw when needed.
Detroit killed the run game, put the game in Jones hands.
This recipe isn't tasty.
Ehhh, not sure if I agree with that. DET shouldn't be killing our run game. They are the worst run defense in the league.
I mean they are. Barkley has 1.6 yards a rush. The OL isn't helpful but this is a total team commitment to stopping the run, which we saw in the Seattle game as well.
Eric has said, coaching can only win you so many games. We didn't have a lot of talent to begin with, and now injuries have depleted it to the point where coaching can't save us. And the coaching today has also been poor. An all around bad game by everyone.

Which every team will do until we can prove we can pass the ball. I'd put 9 and 10 men in the box too against this team.
The point is, everyone scores in this situation in the league.
tried to replicate the game plan against Houston by running Barkley a lot, which was initially defensible given the wind and Detroit being the second worst run defense in the league. But he stayed with it too long, especially given how badly the OL is playing.

Definitely stayed with it to long ... and it is not working!
Barkley can't break ONE against the WORST run defense
Giants were dominating until Hutchinson pick. Helped with some questionable calls. And, the Oline took major step back today and they weren't that good to begin with.

Our coordinators were terrible today (and they weren’t alone - team just looked flat which is on Daboll)
Whatever…beat Dallas now…game is even more important.
This might be the begninign of the end for teh giants
Peart is terrible and the WHOLE inside OL is horrendous today, as if they don’t want to be out there. Out-muscled - Lions looking like they want this game much more then us. This seems a lot like the Seattle game, except we’re getting blown out. Lions offense is pretty damn good and their D is playing much, much better.
RE: RE: Barkley can't break ONE against the WORST run defense
This is how you beat the giants + don't turn the ball over.
But they’re not even stacking the line.
Guys are just flat out missing blocks, fucking up double teams, etc. there was a running play earlier in which Thomas looked like he didn’t know who to block and the guy he barely touched made the tackle for a loss
He's one of the best RBs in the league going up against the worst run-defense in the NFL and wants a huge contract next year.
Make it happen.
Yea OK so Barkley is supposed to run like 165 yards all season in every
Eventually your QB--the most important position in football -- is going to have to prove he can step up in a pocket ; and throw like 300 yards and like 3 TDs a game.

Detroit's weakness is their run defense. It's the worst in the league. That's where we should have dominated today, yet Barkley decided to not show up.
Others have said it above - looking to Dallas on Thursday.
I think it is partly about looking forward to Thursday, short week and all. If you are going to go 1-1, you'd rather the victory against Dallas. I think they implemented a basic game plan that will be built upon for Dallas in the short week.
It didn't work, so there is nothing to do but just take it and get ready for Dallas.
across the board. Lemieux was clearly not ready, neither is Peart. Too many injuries, and they've played flat all day. Maybe, as fans, we will come back to the reality that this is a rebuilding team. They've looked it today.

Why Lemieux started was beyond me. Just an awful coaching decision. It cost us this game in my opinion.
then its a positive for the long view. Neal should be back next week. Let Ezeudu grow at LG between Thomas and Gates. Long term, this kind of loss might be good for them. Read too many press clippings. Detroit has a good offense and busted their ass on defense.
we miss the XP. Even Gano is having a bad day. Don't know why we didn't go for two to try and get within 10, but at least get within a TD and a FG. Not anymore.
Is Odell gonna want to sign here after watching our shit turf grabbing

You keep it minimum scores for as long as you can
Of course after Gano missing an EP should factor in that
He didn't "High point" it ... not sure what that means?
catch it with your hands at the "highest point", presumably meaning the highest point you can reach after jumping. basically he should have caught it with his hands.
This is the time of year where the extreme physical nature of the sport of football becomes glaringly apparent and reduces the overall enjoyment of the NFL. There is no solution. Although adding an extra game isn't helping.
Beavers, Robinson, etc... It usually takes two years to recover (see Saquon Barkely) and these guys are going to contribute at a high level. Hope Shoen has his mojo working
I don't see them winning ANY of their remaining games. Maybe 1 which will have them finish at 8-9. In the grand scheme of things, that will be a good season.

Good point. I think Beavers was one of the biggest losses this year.
They are roughly at about same level as Lions. I still think they're a little better. But game took a bad turn and they don't have the talent to overcome it.

a couple bad turnovers. a couple really bad penalty calls.
all in all, team still looks good. DJ played great other than the first interception.
bring on the cowboys.
Except for the interceptions? Why not throw out every bad play ever?
This was a bad performance and brought back vibes of last season. Manhandled at the line and multiple crucial mistakes. I wouldn't say DJ played great but he def made some nice throws that showed alot of improvement.

How do you lose to a team that you’re better than?
Penalties, turnovers, & special teams.
The Giants were horrific on all 3 areas
They always assume the Giants "looked past" the opponent
I don't see them winning ANY of their remaining games. Maybe 1 which will have them finish at 8-9. In the grand scheme of things, that will be a good season.
Disagree. I don't care how they managed it, but after the 7-2 start, 8-9 would be a big letdown.

good point. no good quarterback ever throws an interception.
I didn't say that. But, you can't throw away the two INTs when they contributed in a big way to this outcome.
I actually think Jones played well, he looked good. The OL sucked, we couldn't run, yet he was completing passes to the WRs and running well. I don't honestly think anyone else could have done more frankly.
was the realistic goal for this season. If Gates is good to go from here on out, Ezeudu will continue to improve, they could have 4/5 of a real good OL. That was super important for this year. Its pretty obvious who are the keepers on defense and who is replaceable. The areas that need improvement on offense is obvious too. The injuries, especially the one to Robinson today, complicate things, but this season has provided a lot of answers. Big picture guys!
I'm glad they got their asses kicked.
There's not covering up this loss. The whole team sucked.
Now let's see what this team is made of on Thurs.
Do they bounce back and show some fight or turnover like the team of the last few years.

Let’s not give the D a pass. A Championship type D plays much better than this D did today. They could’ve answered the turnovers with some of their own or even stops but aside from the first drive they gave us TD’s.
The Giants laid an egg today. Bad on both sides of the ball. Couldn’t run the ball on offense and couldn’t stop the run on defense. The Lions won the battle in the trenches handily. Shane Lemieux was manhandled by some guy named Alim McNeill. Seemed like every pass Goff threw was caught. Their worst game of the year by a large margin.
The question now is what will we see on Thursday? Really only 2 days to practice and another bunch of injuries to deal with. I’m seeing 7-4 after Thanksgiving with 2 games against the Eagles and 2 against the Redskins (fuck you Goodell) yet to come.
Daboll and his coaches need to figure out why this team starts so sluggishly every week and fix it. This was the first time it really cost them because the defense couldn’t hold the Lions all day.

Wow, the south goal post is swaying back and forth.
Yup. Time for some old school smash mouth football.
Going to be a long day without some blocking
Maybe it wouldn't be so boring to be a Giants WR if any of them were actually good.

The league needs to make that a judgement call by the official vs automatic, Let the Ref judge if was is a slap or a tickle... lol
We’ll see, but I don’t think we’ll see much of Ezeudu today unless Lemieux gets injured. Lemieux needs to get the rust off quick!
Yeah, I don’t get it the love.
Well, he's in there, so he better wake up fast.

Simpleton.
I thought the same thing. It’s like refs can’t remember rules
Yeah he isn't long for this game if this keeps up
what game are you watching?
there are 9 lions defenders within 5 yards of the LOS on every play
Drive!!!
Not sure if serious
Props to Barkley on the block to spring the Jones TD also
That was crazy wind! Pushed an extra point going right down the middle to right! This is going to get interesting
They knew they were going for it on 4th. Duh!
you can only wish to contain him!

like he did last year. That won't get it done.
He's not running tentatively. He's getting hit behind the LOS or at the LOS. The blocking up front has been terrible thus far.
Props to Barkley on the block to spring the Jones TD also
Blocking has been horrendous so far.
And special thanks to Dan Campbell for not accepting that holding penalty. Freaking dummy.
Maybe we're running so much because the pass protection is so poor.
No fault to Gano on the XP. Just bad luck. That was a 40 mph cross wind.
Not shanked - totally the wind.
What are you talking about?
There is no wind in Giant's (Meadowlands) stadium!
It might have been but that wind really took it from left to right.

Wink should know they’re going to take advantage of our aggressiveness. They did it last week and teams are seeing how they can convert those 3rd downs against us.

The ball was dead center even with the tip, then took a sharp right turn halfway to the posts. Anyone with a brain knows the wind caused that.
And he held him! What was he complaining about?
Apparently not. He needs a year in the weight room.
He can not be returning punts.

We are definitely beating ourselves! Way too sloppy today! Oline needs to get going and Barkley is dancing again.
They could have easily called that on Peart.
You're allowed to if it's against the Giants. Just like you're allowed to hold Thibodeaux.

Odell’s job is to catch the ball. Adoree’s job is more to defend the ball, than catch. So your wrong, why would the giants risk their best pass defender in the return game? It’s wrong, and asking for trouble, which is exactly what happened!

It’s a zone blitz. QBs don’t expect the defender to be there. Eli threw quite a few of those himself.

what does defense vs offense have to do with a random injury where your leg gets twisted up. That can happen anywhere on the field.
Or is your argument that a cb1 is more of a difference maker that a wr1?
Flott I believe
The penalty advantage
The turnover advantage
And have stoned the Giants run game
And have removed our best CB from the game
Again, this was not expected to be a very good team at all coming into the season. Their depth has been surprisingly good. But their is still a talent deficiency.

Everything is going against the Giants today.
A stop here is crucial.
Again, this was not expected to be a very good team at all coming into the season. Their depth has been surprisingly good. But their is still a talent deficiency.
Is that your professional analysis?
Lions had good game plan today but they are being incredibly helped by bad officiating and weak play on offense and specials. Lions are giving just enough cushion middle of field. I think they will be fine giving up 300 yards passing.

No issue advertising the games, but the puff piece on Qatar is way out of bounds considering the NFL wants to be all about inclusivity (as they should).
But losing Adoree the way we did...fucking pisses me off. That's a killer.
It would be one thing if they were shitty both ways, but the Lions are getting away with murder.
They’ve moved the ball. The penalties (and non calls) are killing them.
but the most demoralizing part of this game is how bad the officiating is. 2 no call delay of games, a no call false start, phantom PI. this is just a tragic game

I agree. I think we come out throwing. Outside the damn pick…we’ve been excelling in pass game. They rolled the dice with their stud DE and won.

No doubt the refs fucked the Giants today.
But the Giants are losing because they are getting the shit kicked out of them.
Lions WRs have been getting open all day long. Not ours.

Dabs missed this one….oh well, no one is perfect.

Delay of game is terrible
Lemieux is being destroyed by McNeil.

Exactly- tap dancing by Barkley set the tone early..
It ain't over. I think we'll have a really good second half.
Yeah, they're really good at moving the ball and punting from midfield.
And we're headed to Dallas on a short week. Suddenly feels like this can be a long season.

Jones can't win this on his own
We have to loosen up the box and make them honest on defense

Against us are the refs with the shitty calls
Against us is the fact we are getting no pressure
Against us is the fact we used a starting cb on returns and

That was before we inserted our 5th round pick who has never been able to pass block. And by the way, he doesn't seem to be able to run block either
18 yards.
There’s your game so far.
I'm looking for a good defensive opening drive and then a score.
And...as I'm typing this we allows a big return.
This is disgusting
Predictable now
Zone blitz.
But someone fucked up.
I’m not worried if we go down by 14….3 scores though…it’s over with our WR crew
Sorry but there were plenty of calls and non calls that went against the Giants
In the game chat 😅
Last week I said that if you changed your mindset to “The Giants are a 2-7 team, masquerading as a 7-2 team” that these types of performances would make sense to you.
The Giants losing by 11 to the Lions was totally expected, in my mind. Our record is an illusion. We are vastly overachieving.
That being said… I hope we continue to overachieve and figure this thing out in the 2nd half.

Why. The pylon is out of bounds.
nothign we can do. this game is over.
Wow
Except they were playing that before the injury, too, genius.
For Detroit.
8-2 will turn into 7-4 in a 4 day span
Getting beat in every single aspect today.
When Adoree went down.
Can Daboll pump it back up for the brutal stretch to come?
We are about to see what kind of QB we have. They've done a good job of hiding his flaws. Let's see
they need to fire the ST coach, its pathetic.
When Adoree went down.

Yeah i felt this was a must-win game to secure playoff chances.
Need a Golladay revenge game
Seriously!
SLOW, would be an improvement over their play recognition and reaction.
And that last drive really had nothing to do with Jackson out,
He fucking sucks.
Can we stop playing people who fucking suck?????
to who?
Washington doesn't look this bad lately... I wouldn't bet on it.
To be fair, with the exception of Holmes and Robinson, no Giant has shown up today.
Poor tackling and no pass rush a recipe for disaster
Goff has been top 10 in passing yards all year
Sometimes you just need to ignore the morons.

I'm very interested to see if Barkley shows up this half. He's been a COMPLETE No-Show thus far.

That's fine, but more is expected of Barkley than anyone else.
if they were playing a legit powerhouse then expect to get beat..
But they have just given up against a 3-6 who have come in here looking for a bar fight with no takers
they wont win another game.
Poor tackling and no pass rush a recipe for disaster
Don’t make excuses, this isn’t a great team, and we just have been putting lipstick on a pig. This was going to happen sooner or later.

Did you actually think we would win this game? Lions can pout up points. Eventually they would have still bend us over. This game was a loss from the get go. Our offense is a work in progress.
Lions offense is legit, it's the defense that's been erratic.
Yikes
We need quick scores, what the fuck are we doing handing it off on 3rd and 5? Get the fucking training wheels off
Ok, there is that.
That makes no sense...
We're running Barkley way too much. We got away with it last week, but not today.
You weren't saying that the past few months.
Stop with that nonsense. Teams run on third and relatively short when they know they’re going to go for it on fourth down.
Unfortunately, Jones Shit his pants and here we are.

Kafka and Wink have been poor and most the team has been flat. Classic trap game stuff
Good thing I took the extra pay today and went to work instead of watching these guys
You don't normally expect receivers to make tackles when a pass is like five feet over his head
A) Flags
B) Kafka
C) Jones
With what receivers? It's the worst crew in the league.
Dallas in 4 days.
good defensive play by Hutchinson, a few questionable play calls, and a few bad calls/non-calls by refs. = present disaster
Pathetic interior OLine, substandard wr corps, Neal still on learning curve + injuries. Thibs needs help. Need another talented edge rusher.
Needle is definitely pointing up, but many were way overrating this team

Detroit moved the ball with ease from their first drive. By and large its the same names we've seen all year. No excuse for this. The one thing that is unacceptable is to look this lost and uncompetitive. Losses are expected. Losses like this? After the last 9 weeks? Nah, can't do it. Good teams don't lose games like this.

Which every team will do until we can prove we can pass the ball. I'd put 9 and 10 men in the box too against this team.
Let Jones pass on every down, I don’t care what the results are.

Yea OK so Barkley is supposed to run like 165 yards all season in every
Eventually your QB--the most important position in football -- is going to have to prove he can step up in a pocket ; and throw like 300 yards and like 3 TDs a game.

Because if you don't get it, it's a 2 TD game. It is now anyway, but the kick has a higher success rate.

Ya you could see the fabric on his pants pop, never seen that before. We are so snakebit

This team is beyond snake bitten. Meanwhile the Eagles almost ever seem to have injuries - and other than Prescott and Smith neither does Dallas.

They are roughly at about same level as Lions. I still think they're a little better. But game took a bad turn and they don't have the talent to overcome it.
Pretty much exactly this. Turnovers killed them but D did too. They could’ve answered with a couple of their own or some big time stops but didn’t.

You can get beat by teams you should beat. Margin of error much smaller for average to mediocre teams

Let’s not give the D a pass. A Championship type D plays much better than this D did today. They could’ve answered the turnovers with some of their own or even stops but aside from the first drive they gave us TD’s.
They have no linebackers and no CBs.
