Is Ojulari expected back anytime soon?

JoeyBigBlue : 11/21/2022 9:34 am
I haven’t seen much about Ojulari’s return. Is he expected to come back soon? We could really use a solid edge rusher, now that the secondary is so thin.
I would not count on him

That’s really disappointing. Hopefully this is a one off and he’s not an injury prone player going forward.

Sample size isn't so great for him. Next year will be make or break for him.
His calfs

Are the equivalent of Toney's hamstrings.
Ojulari was a guy who would have made our defense stellar
Rjanyg : 11/21/2022 10:31 am : link
him missing this much time is why we don't get off the field on 3rd and long. It would have been great to see 5 and 51 on the field together more this season.

If he can comeback for the last 6 games I think it would make a big difference.
Played in 1 game all season thus far.

Very disappointing.
Can we please stop pretending Ojulari is a stud
Tuckrule : 11/21/2022 11:08 am : link
He was a big nothing before the injury and was basically a disappointing player and draft pick. I recall many of you wanting him with our first round pick. There’s a reason he fell. Part of that is injuries and the other party is his talent. I said it when he was drafted. He’ll be lucky if he ends up becoming a situational pass rusher. Let’s stop pretending he’s the answer opposite thibs.

He had 8 sacks his rookie year. What do you think of Thibs given he has 1 through 10 games this season?

The guy has 8 sacks last year and was better than expected against the run. He was a second round pick, so we should have expectations that he is a solid starter going forward.

this week. Might be early for a calf muscle pull.
Re Tuckrule’s comment, I didn’t see the explosion

And speed you want from a top edge player, either, but c’mon, this is exaggerated. He’s an NFL quality player who’d start on most teams. And given what the staff has been doing with some of our busts, I’d sure like to see how Wink can improve Ojularis game.

The fact that he’s missed this much time from an injury he suffered while running sprints is kind of baffling and concerning,

He limps off. And he’s right back out there. TJ Watt got decapitated and run over by a street cleaner, out for year you say? Fuck no. He’s back better than ever.

We get a calf in fucking August and it’s goodnight Irene. August. And don’t me started on the ny giants and bye weeks. Those are a real hoot.

You obviously have never had a calf injury. The muscle is very slow to heal and if you try to come back before fully healed it will re-pull. It generally takes 6 to 8 weeks to fully heal.
Maybe he plays a couple games at the end of the season

Honestly don’t expect much from him this year.
