That's all this team has been. Creative plays, good execution of said plays and guys buying in. To be honest I am not even mad or bummed out. I am happy like all of you that they won 7 games. Way ahead of where they were projected to be. But who were they realistically going to beat the brakes of off? Detroit isn't bad. They've been bad but they have talent. Something the Giants lack all over the place except for a few guys. There's been like 25 guys injured, Golliday is a puke of a wr and they sign guys off the scrap heap to dress 53. They could and probably will lose every game from here on out and I wouldn't lose a wink. They're ragtag at best. I believe in the staff and after a good draft next year plus more time in the system I fully expect better than this. But to think they were ever division contenders is laughable. I love this team and I always will but they overachieved and surprised us all..
I believe that -- without all the crazy injuries -- especially to the WR and Secondary units, this team for all its "talent-deficits" could have made the playoffs... at least based on how the first half of the season unfolded.
But now the Giants ship is sailing into some serious shoals with maybe the wrong-sized anchor.
And NOW we have people complaining because they lost a game. And that they aren't REALLY worthy of the 7 wins in 10 games. Didn't Schoen tell us exactly that by not giving up high draft picks to try to sneak into the playoffs for a one and done?
They have massively overachieved. Enjoy it for what it is. The only downside to overachieving is they will be drafting later.

They're both UFA after this season. I'd hope that they rank somewhere above "least" when it comes to the organization being concerned for both their present and future.

If teams cannot defend the non-dynamic NYG Offense at this point, or take advantage of our injuries/weaknesses on our Defense then that is their problem.

Considering signing them might take up nearly 1/4 of the cap ($30+ and $15-16 mil), not exactly true. Giants are paying them $16ish million combined, that could triple...although it shouldn't.
That's what I meant by smoke and mirrors. They are not pretending to be something they're not. They are however getting all they can out of the mess the previous regime left. They have overachieved clearly and earned every win but its not sustainable with injuries mounting.
