Oddly Thursday may answer the coaching question

This year has been a off the charts great coaching job. We could lose 56-0 on Thursday and the season would still be a massive coaching success

I saw two players on the o-line performing badly and a whole bunch of injuries to key players along with three turnovers

Detroit played a good game and took advantage of what the Giants gave them

but they aren't. Daboll loses 3 or 4 players yesterday and apparently he's supposed to overcome that in 4 days and deliver a competitive game, or else?

Dallas has WAY more talent and is WAY healthier going into this game.

Don’t hold your breath for intensity & execution from the waiver wire roster we have.

A loss Thursday won't diminish his work so far.

They have a 5 or 6 win team on track to win 9 or 10. The questions were answered long ago. Now just get them some horses.

Right now he has done a outstanding job getting the most out the teams talent to date for the most part with low expectations but there is a lot to judge over time.

Division performances.
Playoff performances.


They did a good job rebounding from Seattle. Now he has to get the team to regroup and prepare. I am hoping for a spirted and well executed game plan on game day.

If that happens its a positive. It its a blowout you move to the next game. Perspective.

If they get that it does not mean he has arrived. It's just another plus mark.

I think this is mostly true but for season 1, at least, he has checked all the boxes.

Plus the front office. I feel very positive about the team going forward
We need a couple of good drafts and free agency to be serious contenders
I am still neutral on Jones and look forward to his performance over the remainder of the season.
We need an answer at the QB position

This sounds like something one of the moron's in the media would say and not a Giant fan who actually ..ya know looks at the roster. With our injuries we are without a doubt the least talented team in the NFL. Daboll is nothing sort of a magician and superstar. There is no coaching question.

This is the best coaching job, top to bottom, we've seen here in a long time.

Except for Lines and Larry, reading comprehension is a problem today.
I’m looking at big pictures. 7-3 is great but the long term objective is to win a SB. I look at everything through that lens.
When a new regime takes over, in order, we need to see if the organization got the GM, HC, coaching staff, QB right. I think the indications so far are the 1st three check the boxes. BUT, considering how much Mara has screwed up for 10 years now, I’m taking a conservative stance. Anyone have an issue with that?

2nd and 3rd stringer to injury, in addition to starters, and we’re somewhat bereft of talent coming into the season.
I do expect a little let down after yesterday’s game , and 6 more injured players.
The reality is discouraging, and can even get to players, but , if we do lose 56-0, it will be because we might need to bring up some PS players to make a 53 man team.
But it WON’T be the coaching.

The over throw on 4th down was a bad throw but he went to the right guy.
Hutch’s INT was a hell of a play by a big man. Really can’t fault Jones on that one.

I really really miss the days of being a Giant fans before social media. Yes, some of my fellow Giants fans who I watch games with could be idiots at times...hell, me too...but between this and the rant about Daboll losing the team because he yelled at a player...I mean, come on.

The Lions game saw some questionable coaching calls from a staff that didn't seem to have them to much previously. Your Starting and BEST CB fielding punts in a blustery stadium, not going with what was working, i.e. DJ running more, using Breida more not running up the middle but perhaps outside, a delay of game penalty at a bad time and a team that generally looked flat or out of sorts at times. Yes lots of injuries and 2nd, 3rd and even 4th string players out there, but this staff has had them ready and yesterday seemed a bit out of character for them. So yeah, I'd like to see how they perform this week. They have to play mistake free football. They need to play as smart as they can and they need to use every trick in the book. In a season full of impossible to win games, lets see how the Giants show up on Thursday.

question for the OP. How many NFL GM's & HC's would trade their 53 for the Giants? 3? 5? What do you think?
