Black Friday is coming upon us and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where one might procure a decent suit for under $250?
Looking for solid color black or blue 3-piece suit. I just need one atm because my old ones no longer fit me anymore. I can't really afford a custom suit and so I thought I would take suggestions. For reference, in the past,I have liked the fit of calvin Klein suits from Macy's but open to suggestions. Ideally i prefer non-shiny Material but I am guessing wool might be too expensive. Anyway, thanks in advance.

Indochino - ( New Window )
This is coming from someone who wishes suits, sport coats, and ties would just die off. The world would be a better place.
Can you buy a shirt from a retailer that fits pretty well?
I do not fit off the rack, arms are long, neck is large, shoulders are wide, waist is narrow, legs are also long.
I have a suit that I was measured for by a tailor and fitted/adjusted on the spot when it was complete. All in all, it took a couple hours in the shop and weeks to be completed. I will not wear anything else now.
Depending on where you are in the US such places can be hard to find and really expensive.
Jos A Bank and Mens Warehouse may be your only "choices" to get semi tailored suits.
Indochino will only frustrate you no matter how good the measurements are, though I have heard some positives about their on location stores getting it right.

If you're hellbent on something solid and relatively dark, navy or charcoal are your best bets.
Joseph A Bank is a good choice for an occasional suit. However
if you are going to take on a white collar job their durability would come into question

In Manhattan/jersey city area. Men's warehouse has not been good to me in the past. I think the off the rack suits fit me pretty decently so long as they Certain brands (e.g. Calvin Klein, RL to a lesser extent). I didn't really know about the custom websites mentioned here so i will look at them but they will definitely be an investment.

Thanks to you and pork chop. From what I've heard i think it's safety to go in person. I may have to visit the one on soho but i think it's going to be a madhouse there this week.
They are above my price range but appear really good. I don't mind i just fluctuate in weight sometimes and don't want to paya lot for something that may not fit me in a year or two.
