Can you buy a shirt from a retailer that fits pretty well?
I do not fit off the rack, arms are long, neck is large, shoulders are wide, waist is narrow, legs are also long.
I have a suit that I was measured for by a tailor and fitted/adjusted on the spot when it was complete. All in all, it took a couple hours in the shop and weeks to be completed. I will not wear anything else now.
Depending on where you are in the US such places can be hard to find and really expensive.
Jos A Bank and Mens Warehouse may be your only "choices" to get semi tailored suits.
Indochino will only frustrate you no matter how good the measurements are, though I have heard some positives about their on location stores getting it right.

| I ordered a suit from Indochino for a wedding and it fit great right out of the box. No additional tailoring and the quality is nice. I was meticulous with taking measurements. I would absolutely order from them again if I need another suit.
This is coming from someone who wishes suits, sport coats, and ties would just die off. The world would be a better place.
