We'll see how this coaching staff handles it. Like any new relationship you don't know what you gots until you're in the shmutz.
Captain Obvious here:
-Schedule is TOUGH from here on out.
-Secondary is already banged up(X, Moreau) and now they lose CB1
-An emerging safety blanket WR for DJ now out for the year and only other WR that cuts the mustard on this roster is 86
-Will get tougher to beat teams as they hone in on shutting down an already banged up 26
-Already hard to win in the division and everyone else is rolling
- And the BIG ONE: Vegas had them at 7 wins. They are never far off.
Hate to say it but I will....this has all the makings of a collapse. Just an opinion but 9 wins would be a miracle.
I've been in the DJ fan club since day 1 because his character,, athleticism and leadership but this is one tall task and will likely bring out all the haters again. Hoping they can weather the storm.
Wonderful point. Just hoping these next 7 weeks don't sting the fanbase!
These next 13 days might be very ugly.
The Colts are playing hard for Saturday but that offense is just an inept at scoring points as ours is.

Exactly.

There are no universal truths about the fanbase, most of all those about what stings.
Some fans have bought all the way in on the Giants' start this season. Those fans might feel any sort of collapse more strongly because of the contrast with where they were emotionally at 6-1/7-2. This group of fans overlaps fairly strongly with fans who will cling strongly to every glimmer of hope as evidence that their loyalty is being rewarded.
Some fans have been skeptical all the way on the Giants' start this season. Those fans will not feel a collapse; rather, they'll see a downturn as the other shoe they've been waiting on finally dropping. This group of fans overlaps fairly strongly with fans who are so beaten down by the past half decade of futility that they just expect failure even in the face of success.
And most fans will fall somewhere in between those two extremes. From my perspective, most reasonable fans have opinions that fall into this middle ground, largely understanding that this was always intended to be a foundational year (simply put, it's extremely difficult to contend in the same season that you're absorbing a cap purge), and that the team got out to a hot start that gave them some house money to be playing with right now.
In simplest terms, any fans who understood all along that this season has been a virtuoso performance by our coaches shouldn't be devastated to see a middling roster struggle to overcome injury setbacks and some friction caused by the league catching up with their tendencies. Any fans who thought that Daboll and his staff had magically transformed a middling roster into a championship contender are going to have to learn the hard way about being objective about the roster's actual talent level even when rooting for their team, unfortunately.
So be it.
5/7 are Division games. Should be competitive but might get worn down by Boys & Eagles. Think we may split with Commanders.
Colts is winnable.
We won two games no one thought we'd win - Ravens & Titans and lost one we thought we'd win - Lions.
I am thinking we get Ojulari back and that should help Thibs , alomg with interior pressure we have been getting. We're decent against the run - if they can step up pass rush and minimize need to blitz - we will win 2 -3 of remaining games.
Thank you! I agree. Next year is the beginning of our window.
Six games. I am expecting at least 3 wins.
For Dallas a lot of things will have to go right. If we see they are running the ball over twenty five times (in the 3rd) for more than 4 ypc it will be a 4th QTR game. If not head to the Turkey table early.
That was week 3 with Rush at QB.
Since Prescott has returned Dallas is averaging 33 points a game. Tops in the NFL. This is a different offense.
You're comparing apples to oranges.
This is a National TV Game for Dallas...I see a 30-40 point loss (anything less would be good)...and Jones will be lucky to finish the game...
This is nothing. Nothing.
That game, and the team quite frankly, are not the same as this week's matchup.
