Yeah, things look bleak: bad loss to Detroit, injuries piling up, & a tough schedule on the horizon. I'm not disputing those facts.
But here's what I think: we're going to get reinforcement in Neal, Bellinger, Azeez, & the X-Man back soon. Getting Neal & Bellinger back will be big for the offense. No offense to Phillips or Peart, but Neal is superior to both. And Bellinger was one of our biggest weapons on offense before he got injured. The Xavier absence can't be understated; he wasn't having a 2021 like season, but he's an integral cog of our defense. No offense to Belton-who is a rookie-but that's quite a gap between the two. I guess the big ? is Azeez, but one can hope he returns & makes a difference down the stretch.
Also, I'm confident in this coaching staff putting these men in a position to succeed. This is a top notch coaching staff that is doing a helluva job considering the talent-or lack thereof-on this roster. We've been in each game; even vs. the Lions, the game wasn't over until Hodgins fumble.
We got 7 games left. Thanksgiving is going to be tough, but Dallas is a weird team & perhaps due for a letdown after that beating vs. the Vikes. The Eagles have come back to Earth these last two weeks. WFT is coming on, but I'm not sold on their QB & we ALWAYS seem to have their #. The Vikes are similar to us in that they usually play close games & I expect the same when they play us. The Colts are playing hard for Saturday now, but I don't know if that'll still be the case on New Year's Day.
I think we 2-2 in our 4 vs. Philly & WFT & beat the Colts to finish 10-7 & snag a WC spot.
I refuse to wave the white flag on this season that has brought a lot of fun. Fuck it. All in. Go Giants!
Let’s all take a deep breath. The Lions beat the Giants playing their game. Giants lost the turnover battle 3-0, that was the difference.
The whining for a 7-3 team that has been such a great story is insufferable.
Just kidding SF, I love you man.
You're a fan with none.
The NFL is week to week. Odds have been against us all year why stop now.
If Jones can actually do what you expect him to do we'll know we have our quarterback.
I think the Vikings game was a perfect storm for the Boys- they were pissed off and embarrassed and Minnesota was coming off two straight emotionally draining wins, including the improbable OT win over Buffalo.
Appreciate the post though, refreshing and a welcomed change from yesterday and today when some took this site to a new low in defeatism
I expect we're going 1-5 in the Division the rest of the way unless as stated lats game is irrelevant for them.
So it comes down to Minny and Indy.
IMO 50-50 with them and Wash.
The only chance the Giants have of winning a playoff game is to get matched up against Tampa/ATL winner.

Our secondary a mess, no WRs. Too many injuries.
It would be great to make the playoffs. My confidence level after Sunday has taken a massive hit.
As for the Thanksgiving game, Id'be absolutely stunned if we are even close.
The line other than Thomas is a mess although Neal and Ezuedu are showing improvement.
No wide receiver would be better than 3rd string on another team. Tight end is a total mess wothout Bellinger. Is there a softer blocker in the NFL than Tanner Hudson?
The defense consists of two good to great tackles a rookie edge who has not had great success and Julian Love.
Ojulari may come back.....everybody else is a castoff or a rookie (Dane Belton).
Special teams are not special.
There is a better chance this teams goes winless than there is of winning two games.
I am greatfull for the 7 wins and for the fact it is almost December and I am not looking at mock drafts.
The coaching staff seems to be in place and there seems to be some talent to build on.
Face it, they just ran out of guys.
Beating the Commanders is absolutely everything. Perhaps even sweeping them is necessary.
The road got extremely difficult this past weekend when it was looking like a "win-and-nearly-in" scenario.
