I'm considering getting one. It can do the air fryer stuff, plus it's got a steam component and the temp range and precision lets you sous vide without water immersion or a bag. Anyone have any knowledge or experience with it?
I do have the sous vide machine and do use it frequently. really enjoy that method.
I've got a couple of immersion sous vide units and love them also. But I don't love my air fryer, I like the steam feature in the oven, and I like the idea of no bags and not wasting water here in the desert.
I could see the no bag thing and water being great
Given the circumstances. I have no reason to doubt the quality of their products so, go for it!
It's on sale right now, $200 off, but still about $500. And the ratings are only about a 4 out of 5. But a lot of the "concerns" seem to be about the app and a lack of recipes coming with it, which I don't care about that much. But I'd love to get some feedback. And I haven't run it by Mrs. in UT yet, lol
And less storage space needed is ideal at least for me. My wife and I have been looking into upgrading our current wall in oven and are leaning towards a combi oven. While pricey the usage is endless and there is no need for all the other countertop stuff.
I have been using Combi ovens at work for years and they are amazing. The current ones I use I can wake up at home and turn them on with an app while having my coffee at home. I used to have to get up at 3:30 AM to be at work at 4:30 to preheat and such.
And as well sous vide overnight if there is a loss of power or something I will get an alert so I can save the food. Damn things are amazing.

Thanks, Scott. It would replace my air fryer on the countertop. I've got 2 built-in oven and a microwave, of course :) I just checked ATK and they have a "do no recommend" on it, surprisingly for the way it cooked. I went through the less than 5star reviews again, and there are also issues with leakage of steam and a flimsy water reservoir, as well as all the issues with the app. I'm thinking I might give it another generation and see if they upgrade. None of the other combi ovens I see can sous vide. ATK, btw, most highly rates the June Smart Oven-3rd Generation.
Update: Just read some comments by members on ATK and they love the Anova. I also saw a post by a moderator about 2 months ago saying they are going to re-review it with other steam ovens. Maybe I'll wait for that, but I've gotta say I'm on the verge :)
