NFT: Anyone watch 1899?

I couldn't make it thru the first episode...I need to give another go though, sans distractions.

What were your thoughts?

It’s incredibly slow but the plot is interesting.

Worth it? I’m not sure if I want to go on

I thought it was really good, especially episodes 5-8. Not as much of a thought exercise as Dark, but still good

Definitely worth it if you’re that far in, about to hit the best parts imo

Their other Netflix show, Dark, is arguably the best Netflix show IMO.

mindf'er of all time. Hopefully without giving anything away to people who haven't watched it, keeping track of all the people at different time periods was an exercise. I thought the first two seasons were great, the third season was OK but was a lot of mental effort. Still thought it was a great show.

We watched the first episode of 1899, I kind of feel like I need to watch it a second time as the person who watched it with me caught a lot of stuff I missed the first time through. But definitely intriguing.

At first I thought it was ripping off Event Horizon and the ship traveled to some Help dimension. Then I thought it was some weird matrix rip off.

It has some decent character development, the sets and locations are cool. I watched all 8 episodes straight through. I’d recommend it.

Am up to episode 6 but I swear even though I am interested in the plot I fall asleep every episode and I have to rewatch the end the following day it must have somthing to do with the setting and music and how slow it gets in parts.
