NGT- Cards fired OL Coach Sean Kugler Monday morning

jvm52106 : 11/23/2022 9:41 am
prior to their game that night after reports he had groped a woman in Mexico City Sunday night.

I find everything around the Cardinals to be a complete mess. Klingsbury has been living on borrowed time as far as I am concerned. This regime drafts Rosen and then discards him the following year and drafts Murray. They make trades for Hopkins and sign a number of high priced FA's.

Then they crumble down the stretch last year with the offense playing so poorly. They have the drama with Murray's contract (the language in it) and then have to back track off that.

If I were ownership I would look to make some serious sweeping changes but that recent contract for Murray is quite limiting.

I'm glad

We seem to have righted our own ship. (fingers crossed)

If they fire Kingsbury, which would be understandable, they have to find a head coach who wants to coach Kyler Murray. Or they try to trade him and his contract and start over yet again.
Sticky situation.

The question is who would want Murray (doubt they get any fair value given they will have to work with him to go somewhere he wants to restructure his deal so dead cap is spread out/minimize hit for new team outright).

plenty of teams would want Murray

and if you are starting over Arizona would just take the best offer, whatever it is, and move on.

I am not so sure that plenty of teams would want Murray. A handful, maybe and I could not name them. He has talent, but it seems he has fallen of a cliff. Perhaps with a good coaching staff he would be righted...he has talent, without question.

I think you are a tad off with the plenty especially when you factor in the contract, the need to be in warmer and or indoor environments and his size limitations.. Murray a year ago, maybe has tons of interest, now with the way he has played, I highly doubt PLENTY want that whole deal and package.

There may not be teams lining up.to trade for him, with his current contract, but there will be coaches lined up to coach him. He's a special talent that just needs to grow up a little.

There were talking heads kok, I heard 1...but assuming there's more) predicting them to go to the SB this year, it's a great landing spot for a new HC.
You may not like the Cardinals/Kingsbury

but discarding Rosen after one year was absolutely the correct move. In fact more teams should be able to admit a mistake like that and cut ties earlier rather than later.

Also, they absolutely fleeced the Texans in the Hopkins trade. They've made some pretty good moves.

Well, they did sign Will Hernandez.

That's been their biggest issue, OL and signing Giants cast-offs. They really need to pay attention to what happened to the Giants over the past decade if you don't address the OL.

Over rated. They suck and a lot of the reason why Murray . . No one is taking him or his bloated contract. Coach killer type

Talk about an organization falling apart.
Murray might be a coach killer or not

But has anyone looked at Kingsbury's resume? He had mahomes in college and never did a thing but lose.

Even Joe Judge was more qualified to be a head coach than Kingsbury.
