football we were a lock to at least go 10-7 down the stretch and make the playoffs getting some valuable experience (people overlook this aspect so much - guys first playoff games are often absolutely duds - including the postseason master Eli's). I actually wasn't surprised at all losing to the Lions in a super trap game, what the gut punch was were the injuries and now it looks likely they don't make the playoffs.
If they somehow keep this within one score I'll have some renewed hope there, but don't act like we can't be disappointed that a team that looked like it was going to make playoffs probably isn't because the injuries have gotten to the extent of ridiculousness.
straight on comments there, well done. I also think you can point out the people who saw this team as sucking before the seasons started that seem like now is their time to try and validate their earlier opinion and act like they are superior to other fans.
The Giants season thus far is a surprise to both sides of the fence, either they exceeded expectations and you are enjoying the ride or they exceeded expectations and their recent losses give you validation that they suck, Jones sucks etc...
I care about the overall team. We have changed the course of the franchise. Lots of changes are coming but, in theory at least, we have building blocks to work with for next year. * though many of these blocks will be coming off injuries.
I still want to see us make the playoffs- even with a flawed roster as it will show even more just how good we have it with our current coaching staff.
Wash, @Wash and Indy are the games we really need to win. Get those and we should make the playoffs- which that by itself would feel good after years of nothing. Making the playoffs also helps get free agents here and just changes the atmosphere around the team.

DJ has to prove himself... Did they read the injury report? Holy Sh*t! This has got to be one of the worst injury reports published in the last 10 years! I don't know how the hell we can even be competitive in this game...
No, not spontaneous combustion, ya smartasses. 7 catches for 120 yards and two TDs. Book it. Now, where did I put that bong?
Seriously, though - good article Eric. Expecting a rout tomorrow, but hoping some young guys get valuable experience and make a few plays. Wish they could elevate more than two from the practice squad.
Was a little aggressive towards the fans but had the right message. This team is not that good. And that's fine. It wasn't supposed to be. We won a few more games than expected. We'll probably lose a bunch coming in. It's OK. It was never about this year
No team is going to survive the amount of injuries the Giants have right now, you can stop right there. We are again at the point injury wise where we can barely compete. All 3 other teams in the division have far superior rosters.
Even the timing of this game is working against NYG. It's a huge "all hands on deck" game. The short week/road trip isn't allowing any of their questionables to play. And the entire nation will be watching their skeleton crew of a team.

BT has projected his nervousness for the Jets onto the Giants, basically said their season was over with the loss to the Lions
And this preview calls it out. It’s mostly noise, and with the right perspective - it can be entertaining. There are also some very intelligent and informed takes at times.
I will root like hell tomorrow for the Giants, but expect them to get crushed. They are playing a better team and have been decimated by injuries. I’ll read the. post-game wailing and gnashing of teeth but won’t get too caught up in the nonsense. We’ll have the usual DJ sucks takes, the where is KT crowd, and we’ll start to hear some grumbling about the coaching. Wash, rinse, repeat. For me, it’s been a fun season and we’re still in the playoff picture, still building something for the future.
Here we are at Thanksgiving and we are in playoff contention. No one expected that outcome. By this time we are normally playing online draft games preparing for next year. Yes we are banged up. Yes we are not expected to win. But the pressure is on the Cowboys, not on us. I believe we will be competitive tomorrow. I believe we are in great hands with the Giants staff we have. Not just for tomorrow but for the future. Some Giant "fans" will always be ready to criticize anything!
It's been a great, exciting, and unexpected season.
I have hope for the future now like I haven't in 5 years but this team is not talented but when they are they have the right staff to make the most of it and that's one thing Dallas can't say.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone and enjoy your friends and family
Like Eric said it's just a game!
but i dont think its going to be the blowout everyone says it will be maybe the final score will say otherwise but i expect this team to come out inspired, i am sure they are hearing and reading all the talk of them kmgetting killed this week, how they have no chance..
In the end the Injuries are probably to much to overcome but i think to to start and for most of this game this team fights its butt off to hang with the cowboys

It will be a blow out. Short week, 1/4 team out with injuries and at least 80% of the oline is backups or backups of backups. Thomas has been sick...I juts hope DL and LW do not get hurt.
They will fight their butts off, but even at full strength it would be a struggle.
I agree with nygiants16...I don't think we'll have the horses to pull off the upset, but I think we hang tough & it is a game going into the 4th. I believe in this coaching staff/the fight of this team.

I hope so, but NFW they can hang with the Cowboys when they barely did so a few weeks back with a much more healthy team unless the Cowboys have rampant flu.

How did they not hang with them? they had a 13-6 lead in the 3rd and had the ball down 7..
Dont forget Leonard Williams did not play that game
And yet, after all that, I am going to make myself look absolutely nuts and say I still have an unrealistic optimism for tomorrow. I recognize it is not at all probable, but I just have this gut feeling we shock the world.
Again, I don't really expect it, but I have a sinking feeling we make a game of it and then...who knows? The injury list is ridiculous, especially the OL this week. But, BUT, we have the better coaching staff, one of the best RBs in the game, 2 of the better DL around, one of the best LT, and one of the best PK in the game. Somehow, if this is the game a bunch of people play insanely over their heads, maybe a miracle is in order.
Not likely, but if guys like Dex and Williams have monster games, and Lova and Belton kill it on the back end, the D has a shot. I also have had this feeling all week that this is the game KT goes nuts and is a beast.
McCarthy is arrogant. Jones is arrogant. This could be their trap game. Pound the snot out of Dak, Zeke, and Pollard and drill those WRs like we did to the Bills in the SB all those years ago.
Hey, I know this probably isn't happening, but one can dream...
I get caught up during games because they are emotional but I check myself every week and every day. We have a flawed roster, we had a horrible cap situation, we're literally playing cast offs and winning. Water seeks its own level and we are a .500 or below team talent wise and a .750 team coaching and attitude wise. We lack talent. We are decimated by injuries. Teams watch film and figure you out. We are 7-3 in an oddball season so enjoy the highs and expect some lows. We're on the right track, stay patient and take it a week at a time and the worm will turn.
I agree. I wonder sometimes if the posters are true fans of this team. Don’t know if this is a generational thing or the fact that people have to win the argument. Patience is needed with a rebuild.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Who said that? Boomer. Right after he was trying to clean up the mess his boy Zach Wilson made with the Jets.

Any given Sunday. The Jets took down the vaunted Bills a couple weeks ago. The GIANTS beat the freaking Titans and Ravens! Saudi Arabia beat Argentina! This is sports, anything can happen. All year we’ve brought in no names off waivers or practice squads and the coaches have found a way to win. One big play (blown coverage or turnover) or penalty can shift the entire game. Yes, we’re big underdogs, LITTLE GIANTS if you will, but people predicting 40 point blowouts are crazier than the ones predicting a Giants win, according to Vegas who has us losing by 10. We have a chance, even if it’s 1 in 4 or 5. So grab a drink, root for your NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS, appreciate your break from entertaining family, and let’s beat the crap out of the Cowbabies!
Also thanks for the best website. I would be lost without BBI
As far as the game goes Dallas should win easily bases on current talent
But you do play the game and anything can happen
Go Giants

Very well put!
Offensively you got to establish the run with Barkley and Jones, slow down the pass rush with quick passes, long sustained drives..
Keep this game close going into the 4th and see what happens

Only time will turn the pages on this season.
Not only did they not stay healthy, they lost some of the very key keys they could not.
Even the timing of this game is working against NYG. It's a huge "all hands on deck" game. The short week/road trip isn't allowing any of their questionables to play. And the entire nation will be watching their skeleton crew of a team.
It's got all the makings of an ass kicking.

can't stop.
"Barring a big upset, the results are not going to aid your post-Turkey digestive process."

Happy Thanksgiving!

Some have earned the criticism.
