People who “REALLY” want Danny Dimes gone…

5BowlsSoon : 11/23/2022 9:04 pm
Tomorrow should be the game that you have been waiting for.

Dimes probably will have a horrible game, get sacked 10 times, probably fumble at least once after getting creamed, probably throw multiple interceptions under intense pressure, and most importantly, he will probably only lead the team to single digits on the scoreboard.

Sleep well fellows….your prayers are probably about to be answered.

is it? this is the same BBI that made a thread about Jones brother 90 percent of the posts were shitting on him. Not a single place on the internet hates Jones more than bbi.
Jones has no shot in this game

Previously it was largely due to Dave Gettlemans complete and utter incompetence when it came to roster construction and coach hiring. Now it’s due to horrible luck and the Met Life turf. I’m open to them keeping him, or moving on if they have another long term plan. But I’ve seen enough to be encouraged at the idea of him coming back with new, hopefully non ACL tearing turf at Met Life, another year in the system, and a competent regime making smart off-season decisions

I believe it's sad that there are more "fans" rooting for his failure than something just clicking and him becoming a star.

Which is odd, because he has more heart than most who lace up on a weekly basis and from everything posted from media and coaches he's a genuinely great human being

That is debatable (some guys always want higher draft picks)…..nevertheless, does everyone want Jones to flourish/succeed?

Agreed.. Many talk (or did in the past) about how shitty the roster was then openly say a different QB would make this roster so much better not long afterward. A number of posters here want this team to fail to confirm their loud proclamation s that Jones sucks..

I don't want Jones to suck and I enjoy every win. I just don't want the Giants to tag him, give him a longterm deal, or more than $12-15 million on a 1 year deal. He's a game manager.

DJ will throw for 175 yards and a TD tomorrow and the Giants will score 17-20 points, just like he/they always does/do.

Eli threw TDs too and his team scored points. A real Giants fan would want the team to be great, not one player. At the end of the day, the best things about DJ are the excuses his biggest fans make...it sure isn't his production on the field.

We'll find out in a few months. Agree to disagree.

Come on fellow….how can you hold the last year and a half against him with Judge/Garrett leading him? Clearly, he got much better with the turnover problem he was having. Why can’t you give him that?

And besides, he wasn’t that bad last year…I believe he was 4-6 and then got hurt in the Dallas game and came out with the score tied. We went on to lose of course. 4-6 wasn’t too shabby considering the surrounding cast and considering we didn’t win another game without him.

It might be true a few posters here root more to be right than for the Giants to win, who cares.

They have absolutely no impact on what the team finally decides on Daniel.

This is a fan forum with a variety of fans. A lot of them are fun to engage with especially on the Jones thing (unless they are being obtuse, which I also sometimes am)

I watch Daniel play and I see a good player. But truth is unless I had the opportunity to sit with the coaches and watch game film with them I ve no idea what they think of him, his critics don’t either.

Here s what I do know: Watching the games hoping he plays great, they win, and my consistent support of him turns out to be correct, has to be more fun than the opposite, if there are fans really hoping for his failure; why concern yourself with them?

Bingo….last week was a good example. Jones played hard all game…ran for a TD threw for one…had over 330 yards passing since he had to throw….but he basically made one bad pass with the score 24-6 and the vultures came out in full force.

Here is how I know someone is a VULTURE….pay attention….if the only thing a “fan” says about a player is TO FIND FAULT, and never-rarely shares the positive stuff in that player….they are a vulture.

Like I said, there was much positive from Jones last week. 330 yds with two drops, a dropped two point conversion and Two TDs….yet if all you want to talk about is that one play at 24-6….you are a VULTURE and don’t kid yourself because you are not kidding me…you want Jones to fail because for years you have bad mouthed him and believe he should be gone. Maybe he should be gone, but I believe it is still wrong to rejoice in his failure ESPECIALLY when you never to rarely praise him for the good things he does too. Saquon got 22 on 15 carries and I hardly heard a word of criticism his way.

F*** all the vultures out there, and you know who you are.

DJ success = Giants success

First of all, "your" illiterate is comedy gold. You can't call someone else illiterate when basic English escapes you.

But to the main point of this thread, just because some fans are critical of Jones and want him to be replaced at QB, doesn't mean, they're rooting against him or the Giants. It only means that they don't think he's the one that can raise the Lombardi, so they want to move on when the right opportunity presents itself.

The reason we are here on BBI is because we are ALL diehard Giants fans who bleed blue and want what's best for OUR team. Nobody is going to root against the Giants just to be proven "right" (whatever that means) on a message board.

And a final note to the thread starter and all the other "DJ should never be criticized" posters... Stop playing the victim role just because other people have a different take on whether keeping DJ is the right move for the Giants.

What is going to happen tomorrow will not be his abysmal performance. It will be a team abysmal performance. They will start the 3rd/4th LG, 2nd C, 1st RG, 3rd/4th RT while the LT is under the weather...
The best WR barely made the team and sat for basically the 1st 4 games. Those starting behind him were either PS members until 3 games ago or benched until injuries brought them back.
They have two NFL quality DTs, the ILB are castoffs, the top CBs are the 4th and 5th string, the FS is a barely capable rookie.
If they keep this to a 21 point game it will be a major accomplishment.
The premise of this thread doesn’t make sense

Daniel Jones is a free agent after the season. The debate isn’t about “wanting him gone”, the debate is whether he should be resigned and at what cost. It’s a huge decision that so many seem to ignore like he’s under contract next year.

Tyrod Taylor is the only QB under contract next season.
This place fucking suuuuucks
CooperDash : 11/24/2022 7:32 am : link
Yes, people root for him to fail because they’d rather be right than be proved wrong. If you don’t think that’s the case, then open your fucking eyes to how society has changed around this. And very publicly.

“I want a generational QB” - like they just grow on trees? Then what will you do? Develop him? Put a good team around him? What a novel fucking idea. Why not do that with the good QB we already have?

Jones has been dealt a shit sandwich every year with coaching and surrounding talent. He finally gets a competent coaching staff and leads the team to a 7-3 record so far? With zero weapons outside of Barkley, sometimes?

I like DJ, but maybe he’s better off leaving because playing for this shitstain fanbase has to suck for him.

I believe it's sad that there are more "fans" rooting for his failure than something just clicking and him becoming a star.

Which is odd, because he has more heart than most who lace up on a weekly basis and from everything posted from media and coaches he's a genuinely great human being

Nobody is rooting for his failure. Everyone here wants the Giants to win

That is absurd. There are a number of people that would rather be “right” than for the team to win.

If there are so many posters openly rooting for Jones to fail, name them and site examples.

So you’re saying over the last year and a half EVERY thread didn’t turn into a Danny Jones sucks thread? It could be a thread on how the grass is purple and somehow it was Jones fault and he sucks

No, what I'm asking for are examples of posters and threads of people openly rooting for Jones to fail. Can you point me to those?
With the team the Giants are putting on the field today

Mahomes couldn’t help the outcome. I am very concerned about DJ and Saquon coming out of this game without sever injury.

Daniel Jones is a free agent after the season. The debate isn’t about “wanting him gone”, the debate is whether he should be resigned and at what cost. It’s a huge decision that so many seem to ignore like he’s under contract next year.

Tyrod Taylor is the only QB under contract next season.

The entire point of thos thread is to innoculate Jones against criticism for a poor performance. They seem to have little faith he'll be good today.

Believing Jones isn't the guy is not the same as rooting for him to fail, but the gatekeeping segment of posters who look through their no-true-scotsman lens conflate lack of belief in Jones with hating the Giants
I put DJ in the “good” column.

Not one of the greats but better than most playing today. What box doesn’t he check? None I can see. Not his fault the offensive roster has sucked his entire career.

There are just as many vultures wearing "8" jerseys circling waiting to use one result or one stat to push their point that their evaluation is correct.

You don't want to hear anything bad, so anyone that doesn't follow is clearly "rooting for failure".

The problem with this argument is that both sides AREN’T equal. You SHOULD be supporting your team and your QB. That’s what normal fans do. I’ve discovered the giants fans are anything but normal.

I root for the Giants to win, go to as many home games as possible but think they should move on from Jones. What’s the problem? I

The preemptive excuse making is pretty obvious.

I expect Jones to have a good game today. His ankle looked a lot better on Sunday, and when he's had his wheels under him, he's played well this season.

He's probably the second best offensive player on the field today, the Giants need him to step up.

Jones played well last time we played Dallas and we still barely had a chance. Now add in the injuries…..

It’s hardly preemptive excuse making, it’s just facing reality. If the Giants somehow pull a win out of today and score more than 23 pts (honestly have no idea how the defense is gonna keep them under 27 so it will probably take more)….they should be sitting down with him and Saquons team to figure out a deal.

The OP is classic preemptive, cry baby excuse making.

Enough with this crap. Nobody wants him to fail.

Your either illiterate or fucking stupid if you don’t notice the DJ threads of people rooting for him to fail

This thread is stupid. However posters aren’t going to OPENLY root for Jones to fail. They would never admit that. And I don’t believe they are rooting for Jones to fail simply so they can say they were “right”. Hell, saying they are rooting for him to fail is likely a stretch as well but I do believe that several posters have made their minds up that Jones isn’t any good, will never be the long term answer and are petrified of him playing well enough to get an extension. They may not be rooting for Jones to fail, but they are perfectly ok with him not playing well enough to get that extension and if it results in losses, then so be it. Them getting to run to BBI to say “I told you so, see how smart I am?” Is just another nice perk of that result for them, but not the driving force, imo

Hey Coop…every time I see your handle I crack up….maybe this is obvious, but what made you choose it?
