Thinking bigger picture, why risk those two when we need them for more winnable games when we become healthy, or should I say if we ever get healthy.
Thomas has to stay in as we don't have anyone else.
But given the fact we are putting out a weaker starting offense than the first preseason game, considering resting Jones and Barkley.
Start Tyrod Taylor and give the more physical backs we have the chance to pound the rock.
If we are going to get hammered anyway, keep the two pieces intact to fight another day and let Barkley heal.
Obviously they would not broadcast this until the last minute to spring it on the Cowboys.

I disagree greatly with the OP but I don’t think he’s admitting anything other than that we are severely undermanned.
We may learn a lot about this team as the game is played. I will be rooting hard especially for the players who haven't played much and now have to step it up.
