Fellow Giants fans, we are relevant with a 7-3 record going into Thanksgiving weekend. I have been a fan of Big Blue since 1976. Learn to enjoy the relevancy of this team. The turn around of this team from last year is dramatic. Pay attention to the young players, the core leaders, our star running back and the maturation of Daniel Jones.
Be thankful our team fights and has found ways to win in tight games.
enjoy your family and friends and some good food and enjoy watching a 7-3 giants team that wont give up...even if they lose today 7-4 and control their own destiny, lets goooo enjoy it
The Giants offense will always have a punchers chance if Barkley can get the tough yards, and establish the threat of the read option and RPO.
Jones has done a good job slow playing that into success most games this year.
+1. I think we get our clock cleaned, but it’s not like the Giants have to radically change anything. They have to play their game they’ve played all year.
They were already playing ultra conservative sideways ball with no receivers. What they can’t have is the version of Barkley that showed up vs. the Lions. If he’s not playing like the best RB in football they are doomed.
Be interesting to see how the run D does today. This was a big problem the first game as Williams was out. You saw signs of his absence in the second half against the Panthers the week prior. Wink may sell out for this and put the game in Dak's hands if possible. McCarthy will want to run a lot.
On O, I thought they go with the extra lineman and try to grind it out and possess the ball. With all the injuries perhaps they go to a short ball control pass offense to loosen things up first. As always staying ahead of the chains is key.
with Custer's Last Stand. For you old timers out there, you'll recognize this novelty (and politically incorrect) song that reached #1 on the 1960 Billboard Top 100 Singles Chart.
The staff has a decision to make at left guard. The other positions are pretty much known:
LT Thomas
LG Anderson or Hamilton
OC Gates
RG Glowinski
RT Phillips (or Peart if Phillips can’t go)
I don’t think Korey Cunningham is in the mix to start, unless Thomas is seriously ill.
The Giants finally have some depth on the o-line, so I'm not anticipating a disaster. I think Gates is a clear upgrade from Feliciano and they've managed to function with Phillips at tackle. Left guard is the obvious weak link.
… the line probably isn’t any worse talent-wise than what we saw last week, with Lemieux and Feliciano. The results might be worse though, because of the opponent and a lack of continuity.
Interesting in the comments under that Twitter link, it mentions the Cowboys just tweeted at OBJ "It's your move." This is being billed as The Odell Bowl down in DAL.
Of course winning is the focus, but this is the kind of set up where the rest of the season can get derailed by one big hit. I still think we can get some key bodies back and make a run to 10 wins. But with Jones none of that is possible.
Get the ball out quickly today and try and run Saquon (as much as Dallas will be ready like Detroit was). Hope the Cowboys make a couple of mistakes and we keep it close for a chance in the 4th quarter.
Otherwise, get a mini-bye at 7-4 and get ready for a big one vs Washington.
On offense and defense
I really worry that they will attack our LB’s in the passing game with their RB’s
I also think Schultz will have a big game in the middle of the field as our secondary is just decimated with injuries
Jones has to be involved as well as breida. Need to use a lot of pre snap motion. Defensively my only concern is the edge. Can the linebackers flow and fill their run gaps. McFadden sucked last week I expect crowder and smith and we need to limit pollard.

With respect to MS and that great song, I do like the analogy with the 7th cavalry, but maybe I’ll go with this one instead ... as Sam Elliott said in the movie, “Custer was a pussy” and Brian Daboll certainly is not. Link - ( New Window )
Run, run, run, run, run. Limit passing to short screens. Max protect when you need a longe pass play. A bit of play action here and there. Otherwise, it’s all about the run. Up the middle, misdirection, toss sweeps, power, zone, and scrambles.
Chew up the clock. Long sustained drives. Keep defense off the field.
That’s the formula. Success will depend on OL blocking up front.
RE: RE: RE: Giants wearing white uniforms in Dallas
but what will irritate me is seeing Micah Parsons tormenting Daniel Jones and Kadarius Toney scoring touchdowns for KC this Sunday. Gettleman passes on Parsons, trades down and takes Toney, and now Toney is in KC and we have a compensatory third round selection. Oh, well.

Coming off a loss. Part of me thinks this game won’t be as ugly as we think.
A lot of injuries, but they still have their 7 of their most valuable players in place

CB is concerning, but besides Lamb Dallas doesn’t have a major outside threat.
OL I think will be fine. Gates is an upgrade, Phillips/Peart will get help. Anderson not too much of a drop off from Bredeson/Ezeudu. A lot of quick game, boots, and run game.

The Lions had 8, 9 guys in the box to stop Barkley, look for the cowturds to do the same. I am hoping the defense can step up and keep the game close, perhaps the Giants could pull off an upset. You are correct about Schultz, the Giants will make him look like he is Witten!

Oh, and I hate the Cowboys!
Happy Thanksgiving BBI
They are not going to tell us that.
This I agree with. Especially two backs, line Barkley out wide.
Jones has done a good job slow playing that into success most games this year.
4-0, 7-3, 10-7 are realistic goals.
But I knew then, as I know now, how little it means, in itself, to the future of the franchise.

Mostly, I hope the Giants come out of this game with some things to build on, like the emergence of a few unexpected contributors.

He can't come back until he sits out four games.

Play ot your strength which is Barkley and in which running is the worst part of their defense. The more you pass, the more it's Dallas's strength.
Run the football and short passes.
On Defense pray that the Secondary can hold up. A lot of prayers needed.
But --- this is the NFL. Anything can happen.
I hope Jones has been practicing his rollouts...
Ugh. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

2. I don’t see Dallas blowing out an opponent 2 weeks in a row. They won 40-3 last week.
3. This reminds me of the game in Denver in 2017. Remember that? Everyone thought Denver would win by double digits easy. The Giants won.
Lastly, the Giants are 7-3 in a meaningful division game. It’s been forever, enjoy it.

i doubt we play uptempo. cause dallas can score quick.
we are going to TRY to limit their offensive possesssions by running the ball. its gonna be ugly

Thank you. The uniform schedule from August had them in blue today. I never recall this happening in Dallas.
The Giants trailed 27-14 at halftime but dominated the second half and won 34-27.
