Thought he had a great game. Strong against against the run and pass. He is the type of player that is just going to keep getting better and better. I think he is going to be a dominant player.
of the third quarter was brutal. All he had to do was breakdown a bit.
He absolutely plays his heart out. The rumors of him taking plays off were obviously terribly wrong. The motor never stops.
Unless he learns how to teleport he’ll never get sacks with the way the secondary was playing today. If receivers are wide open immediately the ball is going to be out too quick for anyone to get a sack.
I loved the play that he threw the blocker back into the running back.
When there is a second threat, KT will start getting sacks. Parsons has Lawrence (not saying KT is Parsons), but things will open up for him. Hopefully Ojulari gets back soon

Kayvon Thibodeaux played 21 pass rush snaps & generated pressure on 38.1% of them.
Among players w/ 20-plus PR snaps in a game, this was 3rd-best performance of the year.
was officially credited with five quarterback hits.
Thought he had more.
Five official QB hits is a high number.
Yes, he just seemed to be in Dak's face every down.
Thought it was funny, the play before Williams got a hold called(4th qtr?), Thibs has strangled the exact same way that Williams was. Difference was Williams went down and Thibs kept fight through the hold and did not get the call.
I watched Hutchinson today. Tremendously strong, not really quick( a bit slow off the snap) and seemed to trip a lot - catch his cleats. But is a very good DE/OLB.
they still resulting in completed passes. He was active, but still 1 step behind Parsons, who actually got to the QB. And Parsons did it vs. Thomas.
Outside of the 3 sacks, and I am not downplaying sacks, I thought Parsons didn’t affect the game very much today. I say that while also thinking he is a great player.

Keep in mind that Parsons was up against Andrew Thomas much of the game
.. giants have a fucking practice squad out there on defense save for Lawrence, Williams, THIBS, and Love. Everyone else, except ward who is a below average athlete but sells out as one of the toughest players going, everyone else is replacement level at best. Every opposing qb has open wrs, and running lanes. You need to make peace with that and know that before you judge the best front seven players on this nyg defense what kind of help they aren’t getting from their teammates. Fucking think. Also, Thibs didn’t practice all summer yet he’s literally our best passrusher. He’s noticeable and active. He’s the least of our worries and if he goes down so goes our passrush from the edge.
Why are we even bringing up Hutchinson? He was picked second and should have gone first. He’s been healthier all season long. He should be posting better numbers as he’s a nearly flawless prospect who had a good summer in year 1. His stats aren’t even that ridiculous and the team he plays for sucked ass on D for most pf the year.
Thibs has a long way to go. His ceiling is two to three times higher than his current level of play. I wouldn’t bet against this guy reaching that ceiling. He needs another year of strength / conditioning and experience. No doubt in my mind this guy wants it. He’s gonna be awesome.

As a pass rusher, you either sack the QB or cause him to hurry and throw the ball badly or chase him out of the pocket and disrupt the play. If you "pressure" him and he still completes the pass, what's the big deal? Yeah, maybe he's got to chick down to a shorter pass, but Dak was still moving the chains all day.

It was s huge play. I love his motor and the pressures he had today but he has to make that play . Having said that he is going to be a good player for the Giants going forward. Get him in the weight room this offseason
People here do not what the f@&k they are watching
This was a huge game from Thibs and a big step forward.
He showed the ability and effort needed to be a pro bowl player
Those crying about this loss and shitting on Thibs are missing what was important from this game.
When Adoree, Moreau, X, Ojulari come back- with the way Leo, Dex and now Thibs is playing….this D will be very good.
Btw, are these posters the same ones shitting on Dex earlier this season?
Most DL take a while. EVen HOF level guys. He’s going keep maturing physically and mentally. Also w that OL mess they can’t run the ball to keep other teams off the field as well.
Desperately needs counter moves especially how to use his hands. His bull rush and rip, his ONLY two moves aren’t working and the tip allows OLs to hold him (read the rules and the actions of all the NFL refs against him). Parsons is so violent with his hands and movements it looks like he almost vibrates through blocks—like Freeney and Donald do. Thibs just gets held, legally, and stood up or washed out of the play. Thibs’ first step and motor are legit, but he has a very long way to go Re technique and strength.

It’s like I’m watching a completely different game than most fans. Some of you realize Thibodeaux can’t cover WR’s while he pass rushes right? He was excellent yesterday, Dak got the ball out and we have basically no one at corner right now.
Thought this was his best and most consistent game so far.
Need to finish more often though. He has had free runs at several NFL QBs this season (Jackson, Geno and Dak to recall several) and he keeps missing and running right by them. Get your man down.

Bill, you’re better than this. Sample size.
My comments about pressures were meant to be a generality, not specifically about Thibs. The reference to yesterday's game were just an example. That said, I thought Thibs took a step up yesterday, he looked stronger and faster than I'd seen previously.
Strahan didn’t have the big sack numbers until his 5th season. I think they will come.
We must have been watching a different game or you are only looking at sack numbers.

He looked like a mini Michael Strahan out there.

This is on point. I get Strahan vibes from him. Doesn’t hurt that is one of his mentors.

Those 3 players gets Dak to hold the ball a few times a half a second more. There are your sack numbers.
I will be curious to see Sy’s review. But this game he was a stud from my untrained eye.
Ok, but I'd be ok if the standard was Hutchinson

C’mon Eric! Don’t let facts corrupt a perfectly awful thread where it’s obvious someone is looking for someone to blame because they’re pissed off!

Then had a season where he was unstoppable. I'm hoping that's Thibs trajectory.
Kid played great period
