People are upset because this was a game that the giants could have won. I get it. But they did very well against a more talented team (much of the talent difference is due to giant injuries).
I believe that the giants will go at least 3-3 in the remaining six games. They’ll beat Washington, Indianapolis, and either Washington again or score an upset in one of the Philly games or against the Vikings.
The season has been very good and the giants will likely go to the playoffs when the injured players come back (staring next weekend).
I was pleased with the performance today. I think that things are about to take a turn for the better as players come back.
Losses happen. Take them in the context of the whole season. Don’t overreact and lose all hope.
This is a fair assessment. It’s a long season with many ups and downs. Teams win and lose a bunch along the way. Stay patient and look at the bigger picture.
7-2 was an incredible feat with this roster and first year staff.
Making the playoffs would still make this a hugely successful season, but in my book, it’s already much much better than expected
All of this ... after the game ... of course.
I do hope that Schoen & Daboll take a serious look at what teams do that are consistenly on the lower end of injuries. And that they have input into whatever new turf is going onto the field next year.
True but Dallas is still more talented than us even before all the injuries.
There are seasons within seasons. This was the stretch where they were uncompetitive due to a ridiculous injury situation.
The Giants have a new season at 7-4, with 10 days rest, getting several key players back - and possibly OBJ at WR if they feel like it.
Stay the course, play it out. I want Playoffs as the barometer, and evaluations after a full 17 games.
All of this ... after the game ... of course.
You expected to win that game?
But I agree there’s many important games coming up, should be fun.
Unfortunately, mostly because of injuries, Giants are at their most vulnerable place of the season, loss of McKinney and Jackson really hurt.
But hopefully they get some guys back, and get this thing back on track.
Yeah, having 10 of 22 starters out doesn't override everything else. Jack Thompson was playing left guard - fourth or fifth string. The unrealistic expectation of some for a team most here expected to win 4 or 5 games, before the injuries, is hilarious.
Anyone who is a fan of this team

Has known a lot of frustrating and heart ache
Being realistic about today is the only way to protect ourselves
Unbridled enthusiasm is great, if that’s your thing.
I’m overjoyed at what this team has done and am extremely optimistic about the future….but not today
This team doesn't score enough fucking points.
Because the coach is being paid to over-invest emotionally in how the team plays. The fan base is not.
Yep.
We should score more points
(yes, there were some plays we left on the field but, this offense was missing most of its starting OL, WRs and TEs that were practice squad guys vs the #1 Defense?, cmon, get a grip)
Lol….this is a very good point you are making…Daboll used these words after last week’s loss to pretty much say the same thing.
Yet shockingly, we won the turnover battle 3-0 and yet still lost. Wow, very unusual I would think.
So true. And it goes to show you that winning in the NFL is not simply about loading up a roster.
A thin roster is what you get when there is a whole new coaching staff and GM
We should score more points

20 points (one TD scored in junk time) good luck winning in today's NFL. Grip that.
The bigger take-away should be - holy crap, we were in that game. We had back-ups blocking and no one to catch the ball, and we were in it. Daboll and Kafka, in a short week had a game plan that almost won. If these guys just executed a little better - we could have won! Holy crap!
I’m so excited to see what these guys can do with another draft, more cao room and more time to build and coach guys up. This is awesome
Your ability to focus on the negatives - which are fleeting, while ignoring the positives - which are more permanent , is astounding.
They were actually winning the game 13-7 going into the half. What were you saying at that juncture of the game Mr expert hindsight? Thank God I don't watch the games with you. The defense was far from perfect but they did keep the Giants in the game. The offense failed to take advantage of Dallas having only 7 points on the board.
They won 7 games this year and it's a fact that this game was not impossible to win.
If you want to go down that road, fine. Just omit the "straight-thinking" professor lecture next post. lol.
Agreed they both need to play better, but football is the ultimate team game. It helps if the 9 other guys are all good.
