Just watched the Brian Daboll post-game press conference

M.S. : 11/25/2022 12:21 pm

I'm sure others have seen it and saw the same thing I did: That guy had smoke coming out of his ears!

This is not the Brian Daboll who was doing a very strange, yet happy, dance in the locker room after the Titans game.

And it will be very interesting to see how his team responds to a Head Coach who is -- right now -- not a very happy camper.

Perhaps we will find out the answer in what has now become an essential** game next week against Washington.

** essential, that is, in the context of maybe squeezing into a playoff spot.
They are going to need to bear Washington twice

and Indy to secure a spot. I dont think they beat the Eagles.

Not both. 2 wins against Washington gets them in. If not, need 3 wins most likely.

Franky seems like an impossible task right now. I just don't see how this team overcomes the fantastic number of walking wounded.

Also depends on what Seattle does right? If they start losing both Wash and Giants can get in, imagine all three WC spots from the NFCE

I can’t see the giants passing Seattle. Gotta figure the the wildcard spots are locked in for 2 spots - 1. Philly or Dallas whoever finishes 2nd 2. 9ers Seattle - whoever finishes 2nd.

The 3rd wildcard is pretty much a 2 team race between Washington and NYG unless atlanta goes on an absolute tear… which I just can’t see them doing.
No matter what happens

Giant can still finish the season with a winning record which in itself would be a HUGE year one accomplishment.

mentality. They won't beat the Eagles or whoever else. Let's hope our HC does not feel this way.

Part of why he was upset is he expects to win. Even yesterday. This is a good thing.
Hes very frustrated ,obviously, because..
morrison40 : 11/25/2022 12:50 pm : link
He knows what He needs from his players but he doesn't have the roster to execute the gameplan. This us Yr 1, of the new regime.
Asking the same question again
Bruner4329 : 11/25/2022 1:11 pm : link
The last game of the year may be meaningless to the Eagles. They very well will have the division and home field rapped up. If so they may rest some of their starters. This makes winning that game a real possibility.
players aren't fragile...
Brown_Hornet : 11/25/2022 1:14 pm : link
...regardless of what some suggest.

They should all be pissed off. They let one slip away.
Daboll wasn't very good yesterday
GMen72 : 11/25/2022 2:08 pm : link
Clock management wasn't good, settling for a FG before halftime, and running the ball down 15, with 7 minutes left, made no sense. I'm a fan of what he's done this year, but yesterday wasn't his best work.

Agree. Was yelling a bit watching that last drive before halftime and wondering what they were doing.

Also have to make some throws that are actually in the end zone from time to time. I don't know if the plays aren't being called to do so or whether Jones cannot pull the trigger. But we almost never force a defense to defend an actual throw in that space.
He actually apologized
Matt123 : 11/25/2022 2:19 pm : link
Apologized to the media guys saying sorry he was so pissed off. Some of the media referenced it later when asking questions to DJ/SB.

If interested you can hear it at 22:53 at this link:

You could flip flop this same scenario for Dallas who may be resting starters against Washington in the final game. They have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way
I agree with the OP. The last two game Daboll has been upset at the
Blue21 : 11/25/2022 7:37 pm : link
podium. I think both games he felt we let them slip away based on the missed obvious missed plays that could have been game changers. Maybe I m reading too much into it but it felt that way. The Lions game because of the turnovers and this game with missed opportunities.
