This! Prescott is by far the better QB...but he's not worth what he's being paid. DJ isn't that good and I really hope Schoen doesn't lock the Giants into a bad contract. 1 year, $12-15 million, or let him walk. This team can't win a SB with DJ.

The metrics do all the "selling" I need. And there is ZERO statistical evidence to support Jones being > than Dak. Zero.
All you have is that you like Jones better than Dak. That's it.
1. Jones was slightly better……Jones had no turnovers, Dak had two…this is huge. Unfortunately, we didn’t take advantage of all 3 turnovers. Dak wasn’t sacked, Jones sacked 4 times. Dak has Cee Dee, Gallup, two great TEs….Jones has far less. More importantly, Dak had 160+ yards rushing…Jones had 70 from his RBs. Both scored two TDs passing or rushing
2. Dak has been the better qb over his career but as mentioned in #1, has had a far superior supporting cast….he should have.
3. I’d rather have Jones….many in Dallas didn’t want Cooper to lose his job so he’s not fully appreciated there much like our Jones here. I think both can be successful. What I’m hoping to see is Daniel take off next year much like Josh Allen did in year two of working under Daboll. Dak is over paid so I’m glad we aren’t strapped with that contract. But I love Jones’ athleticism…I want a QB who can take off and get that third down when no one is open.

There is some basis. Rush was the practice squad QB behind Jones in 2020. That would suggest that Jones is significantly better than Rush (or at least was at the time). Rush came in for Dak this year and won 3 of 4 games. Is it an apples to apples comparison, No but it does provide some context.
