I know the motto is "every team deals with injuries in the NFL", and although that is true, it is not normal for a team to consistently finish in the top 10 of most injured players year after year. These numbers don't lie...
HIGHEST NUMBER OF INJURIES PER YEAR
2022-23 Giants - currently 4th in NFL
2021-22 Giants - 1st in NFL
2020-21 Giants - 9th in NFL
2019-20 Giants - 8th in NFL
And this is the most concerning stat...
The New York Giants are 1st in the NFL in the number of games missed by injured players since the 2009 season
It just boggles my mind how unlucky this team gets with injuries. Evan Neal never misses a game in his life, and can't even last half a season without getting hurt while on the Giants. Same goes for Shane Lemieux. And it's not just recently. Think back to other players since 2009 who had promising careers derailed by injury. Kenny Phillips, Steve Smith, David Wilson, etc.
Hopefully Joe Schoen and Co. can figure out the underlying issue behind the injury bug the Giants have been dealing with, because it's hard enough to win in the NFL, especially when you lose so many players throughout the season like they have.
Meanwhile the Giants are on their 4th string left guard.
Why are the Giants always at the worst end of that chart every fucking year ??
Is there something fundamentally wrong with the FieldTurf that they're using ?? That is a $2 Billion Stadium....can't they put a better 'rug' down ??
Is the MatrixTurf that the Cowboys use that much better ?? Jerrah holds all kinds of events in that ballpark.
Analyze the strength and conditioning program and see if there is something they aren’t doing, doing to little of, or doing too much of that is causing these muscles issues. Continue to research the playing field and figure out what’s the best option moving forward. Go outside of the complex and research teams who have ranked amongst the lowest in injuries and see if there are things within their strength and conditioning programs that could help improve ours.
There’s a plethora of data and analytics available nowadays to help assist in finding solutions, and I’m sure Schoen and Co will continue to invest time and resources into improving this area. I’m just venting my concerns as a fan. It’s tough watching a team you root for play when half of their starters are 3rd/4th stringers.

there is nothing to figure out with this much data on the problem. we’re wayyyy beyond statistical anomaly. either you believe that the Giants sold the franchise’s soul to the boogeyman in exchange for the 2007 and 2011 Super Bowls, or you admit that we are the single worst team in the league when it comes to keeping players healthy. if it’s the latter, fire everyone.
you assume they are allowed to speak to the press. they ain’t.

AT&T stadium actually has three different surfaces. The football field, the grass soccer field, and an all terrain surface for other events.
It is actually the combination of how much turnover the Giants have had on the roster AND the fact that they are consistently bad in this area that seems to strongly point to some problem in process.
This kind of reminds me of when people would act like DG had a plan or some level of competence due to professional credentials.
Sometimes you have to look at the results objectively and the results strongly suggest our medical and or training staff is doing something quite wrong. (The Jets not having the same problems kind of flies in the face of any field base theories)
