#1 I love the season
#2 I love the coaching staff
#3 We can control our destiny
#4 We won't draft top 10 in the draft (we will have to trade up to do so)
#5 Making the playoff would be a great improvement from the previous years
#6 The 2 biggest free agent we have ... are real teasers...
Saquon is really a big play potential dude... but fragile and not very clutch at times... I love him but at the same time I would prefer a cow bell type of RB for way less money.
Daniel Jones overall has played well, very well at moment, but I don't see a 35+ M QB! He has no targets but at the same time he can't improve them so he's nothing special... without the legs, he would be an awful QB
Both of them for 50M for me won't cut it since we need more than just these 2 plus a few more... we will have to pay Andrew THomas and Xavier in 2 years + Love this year and a big cat hit for Golladay... would the draft be enough to really improve the OFF ... we still need ILBs and CB2 and more meat on the DL
I love this team and I hope we will see Barkley and Jones close the season with strong play, if we do so... and we make the playoffs, we may keep them both and hope, if not... let them go or trade one after tagging him
If I'm Joe Schoen right now... I'm still waiting but my decisions are nearly done!
Inflation is a thing. If you look at APY for the top 15 qb's in the nfl, number 15 is like 29m.
I'm not saying he should get 30 or trying to assess how much he's worth, simply just stating that one of the most frustrating talking points on this board is that 30k = franchise qb money
Have a good one nonetheless!
From the North!
Can Kafka/Dabs mould a QB (rookie) or cheaper FA faster than it will take to pay him franchise QB money?
I would try it!
for me if we make the playoffs, the plan may be to stay put with both guys and draft well to make the team better on both sides and hope for the best with major pressure on them !
btw I hope I'm way wrong and we will win 3 games and even win 1 more in January! trust me!
2. Barkley
3. Love
4. Slayton
59 mil in cap space. 65 once they cut Golladay (doubt they designate him post 6/1- would make more sense to just structure resignings so the 2023 numbers are lower)
1. Jones- yes, there’s no better option out there. He’s progressing, you can win with him. Probably get him in a favorable deal too (23-25mil apy)
2 Barkley - I’m not letting 45% of the offense walk. 18mil apy is my guess for what he gets.
3. Love - a no brainer. Somewhere in the 8-9mil apy range.
4. Slayton - another no brainer. Similar deal to Valdez Scantling (10mil apy). Look at the FA class and tell me whose better. The only question is whether Slayton will want to stay here, or if he’s rather hit the market and find a team with a functioning pass attack.
So those 4 deals will take up a majority of the cap. Continue building through the draft. Sneak in a couple of mid level signings and vet min deals to fill the remaining holes (IDL depth, C, LB, CB, WR) and focus on WR, LB, CB, DL, RB2, TE2, OL depth in draft)
Athletic trainers treat injuries and handle rehab after they happen. They are not involved in strength and conditioning to prevent injuries. The only reason to blame Barnes and the training staff is if a player aggravates an injury because they were cleared to return too soon.

Seriously? That's the 4 that's gonna win a Super Bowl?
1. Jones is a average, but he might need/want to be the placeholder for another year. Offer 1 year, $12-15 million, if he declines, let him walk.
2. Tag Saquon. Even if he's not the face of the franchise, trade him for a little less than SF got for McCaffrey.
3. Love...I agree we need to keep him, don't like your contract.
4. Let Slayton walk unless he'll resign cheap...very cheap. We can draft, or sign, a WR that can drop 10 balls a year.
5. Sign Dex.
This fanbase really needs to raise its standards. The shit we've been watching may work to squeak past a 4th place schedule, but it won't win a Super Bowl. Spend the resources on better players that will!

I'm not spending all of our cap money on a nucleus that hasn't scored more than 30 points in 40 games. I'd sign Love.

Good for you! We must conform to the posting police. Maybe they should get a life.
3. Love...I agree we need to keep him, don't like your contract.
He said 8 or 9 million which would him as the 24th highest paid safety...right now, not taking into account inflation, and the fact that contracts go up every year.
You think you are going to sign Love for LESS than 8 million a year? :D Only if Love's agent has recently suffered a severe head injury.
Why do Giants fans always expect bargains in free agency?
Does he have photos of the Maras? Strange the #1 problem for the Giants was not addressed, apparently.

and please get Ronnie Barnes OUT and change the field surface and I'll be very happy!

Jesus Christ, Barnes has no control over injuries. he treats them. Also injuries happen to all teams in all sports, blaming someone so you have someone to blame is fucking pathetic.
so get with the fucking program, Educate yourself before you post dog.
