While I like the Saudi Arabia story, forget college football this afternoon and watch Argentina and Mexico. On paper Argentina is much the stronger side but at this point who can really say what being the favorite means.
Saudi has been very aggressive and dominating the play and yet failing multiple times to even the score, including a horrible miss on the PK and even worse miss on the rebound. Sometimes the moment is too big. USMNT--pay attention. Your tournament was not the England game.
Bit of a snoozer 1H turned into a fun 2H, Mbappe with a late goal, his 2nd, salts it away after DEN tied it in the 76th (?). Griezmann yet again showing his quality with perfect service to the far post from just outside the 18 for Mbappe's 2nd.
Set pieces: watching FRA serious contender to win it all yet even non-serious contender DEN strips naked a truth about USMNT: its set pieces are broken, no threat, no combo set-ups, no reliable deliveries on which to take advantage of matchups. It's plain that the execution is not there but Berhalter must be blind if he can't see that changes are in order on FKs, starting with the player taking them.

+1 That is my concern as well, especially with such a young squad (third youngest in the WC).

Yep, all we need is a true striker who is seven feet tall. If you see one, notify GB.

CONCACAF has little quality ....
I agree. They seem too scattered to compete against the top Euro sides. Maybe they beat one of them but I doubt they can win a second.
