Better than Manzeil. Going into tonight he had thrown for 3500 yards with 33td passes and only 3 INT's.Very accurate passer and strong arm. For my money he is the best QB at this point in the nation. Unfortunately, only a Soph.

Under the assumption we can't draft Young (who I think is overrated as a top ten pick but would have interest if he drops) or Stroud (who I like), I have different levels of interest in: Levis, Ward, Richardson, Rising, Hooker, Leary, Hartman.
In the dark at a night game in a dark maroon jersey I couldn't make out the shape of a rib guard - just looked like a quite thick waistline.
But yes I was wrong. I just found a few youtube pictures and yes, he wears a very deep rib protector. A lot easier to see in daylight.

All good. I saw CW play in high school in DC at Gonzaga (my son almost went there to play baseball). A great private school in both academics and athletics.
He was a brilliant two-way threat (5 stars) at QB with offers from every big brand college. Just a man among boys. And when he got to Norman, it didn't take long Riley to move out Rattler and go with Williams.
I really wish the NFL would scrap the rule where a player can't be eligible for the draft until they complete year three in college. There are players in college who are ready to compete for pro jobs earlier than after their third year. Guys like Williams fit that perfectly...

The most interesting thing about this conversation is that “thickness” is actually a positive for a professional QB. Mahomes has it. Deshaun Watson has it. So do Jalen Hurts, Dak, etc. It protects against injury for the guys who aren’t beasts like Herbert or Allen.
