George acts like he’s Brian Daboll trying to keep the team focused, lol It’s one of the most bizarre things that I’ve never understood, fans thinking they somehow have influence over what happens on the field based on remaining focused and worrying your own team and one game at a time. It’s hysterical
withe a brain dead attempt at a forward pass that was almost a lateral and therefore a fumble. It also could have been intercepted. He tends to do stupid shit like that at least once a game from what I've seen.
And slowly realizing Daniel Jones is Marcus Mariota with maybe some extra upside. If the Giants sign him, maybe it should reflect the numbers Mariota signed+.

You have a guy that has pretty much carried a pretty pedestrian offense to a surprising 7-win season and is pretty much in the conversation as being the best RB in all football. But that is not enough; he has to bail out a guy who cannot even complete a simple screen pass. Meanwhile you have a backup QB Mike White right now putting up 200 yards 2TDs, and it's not even the 2nd half yet. What is it going to take for the Jones crew to see the simple truth about this guy?

There’s that pesky context y’all love to ignore. The Giants have Barkley and zero receivers - might be a reason why passing numbers aren’t higher. Aside from the fact that they drop everything.
But, yeah, we must be watching different games. Because they are all wide open. Sure, he’s had some tight throws too, but let’s stop acting like he’s been doing that all game.

It’s been four freaking years.
I’ve seen a near 40-Chad powers throw 2 TDs to slayton ; throw almost 300 yards in one of his last games coming off a bench starting like what four games all year . With a worse coach worse defense . And certain not an all pro tackle and running back.shoot Chad powers would be play action pass and lighting it up on the Giants even now.
In all those four years not one time did the planets align for jones . And by the by Mike white isn’t exactly throwing g to tureen hill.
When saying a player is only playing well because his receivers are wide open, when Jones couldn’t make a good pass on a three yard throw to a wide open player. Mike white is still making the throws.
Please point to where I said that White was ONLY playing we’ll because his receivers are wide open.
And you lose credibility when you state that Jones “couldn’t make a good pass on a three yard throw to a wide open player” while ignoring all of the context of the play and what was happening. Or the fact that it still could have been caught for a first down by Barkley. But that would go against your agenda…so, duh. But then again, in your eyes, all QBs throw perfect passes other than Jones.
We were going to have to beat Washington at least once no matter what happens today.
Meanwhile, if other teams in the hunt can get pushed farther out of the picture, that's broadens our margin of error. We're not going to have the chance to beat Atlanta.

It definitely is. A split makes makes beating Indy a must now. Takes any chance of getting in at 8-9 off the table

On that that sucks is Washington plays as back-to-back with a bye in between, meanwhile we get Philly in between.

And for his first three years the Giants were one of the absolute worst teams in the league. Horrible front office, horrible coaching, and zero talent around him. Does all of that mean nothing? He’s on his third coaching staff/offense in under three years!
No, I don’t think that Jones is ever going to be a top 5 or maybe even top 10 talent. But I think you can win with him. And I think he’s proved that this season so far. Again…with a MASH unit for a team.
I think the arrow is finally pointing up for DJ…but sure, let’s move on and start all over again at QB. Apparently you all think that it’s so easy to draft a generational QB that doesn’t need any development or stability.
the Jets win. This week will be brutal in NYC. I’m sure that troll from the Wilson thread is happa.
If you were going to make that move, then the week you’re facing the post trade deadline Bears would be the week. That’s certainly the least talented defense in the sport and they lost perhaps their best player in the first half.

I am driving back from my sons hockey tournament from Virginia- we stopped to get something to eat and I just checked here - didn’t even check score. Was Chicago that bad? They played their 3rd string?
As we get the O line back to the staring unit from early in the season.
Of course the game could go either way, but right now the Commanders are accelerating and the Giants are decelerating so I wouldn’t be betting the farm on the Men from the Meadowlands. Nope.

I’m weary of NYG secondary against McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.

I fear he will be poached in the offseason and the Giants will miss him too. The guy has done an amazing job with what he’s been given to work with. [/quote
Where is Wink going?
Unless it's a HC job OR he's just totally disgruntled here (which I doubt), he's not leaving.
I don't see anyone offering him a HC job to be honest.
Will watch the late games...
Well the Giants don’t play today, so….

Semien injured during warmups? How tf does that happen?
I’m rooting for Mike White today.
"Schoen us beginning to lose me" Are you serious?
Claypool cost the Bears a second round pick. That price was probably too high for Schoen.
Schoen hired Daboll. That’s his accomplishment to date.
I would think they are drafting a QB in 2023.
Agree that Jones looks to be a better version of Mariota.

Exactly ;-)
I think you blitz him and expose his size and arm strength.
When he can sit back there he either has enough savvy to throw very accurately, and also create plays with scrambles.

going to have to pressure Heinicke, or he and his receivers (McLaurin, Samuel, Dotson, and Brown) will likely tear our depleted secondary apart.

Yeah, and Claypool is a FA after next year, so there's the situation where you have to sign him.
To give up a second round pick for a potential 1.5 year rental isn't smart IMO.
Agree that Jones looks to be a better version of Mariota.
ATL converted a 2nd and 25 because Drake London picked one off the turf with a really poor throw.

That is a Gettleman style trade.
The left guard was five yards downfield when Henry catches the ball and no flag.

True, but they have been opening huge holes in the running game, which is really surprising given Washington's DL.
Very accurate which is my #1 criteria when evaluating qb's
sure is, but we've seen this before from him right? Lol

Dumb decision and play by Atlanta to go for it on fourth down, and a dumber throw by Heinicke.

If it were the Giants it would have been 2 runs to Barkley screen pass Barkley and let the clock run out
Probably better than a hail mary, no? I mean it did not miss by much.

Could be a sugar high, but the performance is certainly good enough to keep Wilson where he belongs. The bench.

I’m unclear why so many of the takes on Jones are all or nothing. He’s not above criticism but being unable to at least acknowledge his circumstances is also not fair.

ALSO…his WRs are WIDE OPEN all game, they seem to be able catch non perfect passes, don’t drop the easy ones, and he’s got a ton of time to throw.
See? There’s all of the context that you Jones haters like to ignore as you continue to bring up Jones in yet another fucking thread.
Saqoun was wide open. So was Richie James in the flat. His best completion of the game was Slayton making an insane catch.
You're bold. I'll give you that.
But then again, in your eyes, all QBs throw perfect passes other than Jones.
if only there was a place to discuss the 1 oclock games instead of this clinic for the mentally ill.
go falcons!
Run the ball. Wind some clock. 2 plays to score.
God I hate Arthur Smith
gotta take care of our own biz.
A tip pass is not why. Tips happen all the time.
Meanwhile, if other teams in the hunt can get pushed farther out of the picture, that's broadens our margin of error. We're not going to have the chance to beat Atlanta.

M. Mariotta is NOT a starting QB in this league. That was just brutal!!

Mariota may suck, but this is on the coach.
Sports isn’t it for me. Fucking Falcons.

It definitely is. A split makes makes beating Indy a must now. Takes any chance of getting in at 8-9 off the table

We were going to have to beat Washington at least once no matter what happens today.

If you were going to make that move, then the week you’re facing the post trade deadline Bears would be the week. That’s certainly the least talented defense in the sport and they lost perhaps their best player in the first half.
Why? They have been competitive in nearly every game and got screwed against the Tampa on the fake roughing the QB call back in October.
Smith is a damn good coach. I think they have a bright future once they solve their long-term QB issue.

Might be nice to see what they have in Ridder.

I am driving back from my sons hockey tournament from Virginia- we stopped to get something to eat and I just checked here - didn’t even check score. Was Chicago that bad? They played their 3rd string?

I was talking out of frustration. Historically, they never win a big game.
Of course the game could go either way, but right now the Commanders are accelerating and the Giants are decelerating so I wouldn’t be betting the farm on the Men from the Meadowlands. Nope.

As we get the O line back to the staring unit from early in the season.
I’m weary of NYG secondary against McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.

Literally, he just cost his team that game with the GL play calling

Yeah, the first down call was atrocious
I would not be surprised..
Nice!
Slayton probably would have dropped it
Cool story. I haven't seen Jones complete a pass all year with any pressure. Probably

Nice drive by Trevor Lawrence
+1
I fear he will be poached in the offseason and the Giants will miss him too. The guy has done an amazing job with what he’s been given to work with.
This year they are giving up 20 PPG.

Where is Wink going?
Unless it's a HC job OR he's just totally disgruntled here (which I doubt), he's not leaving.
I don't see anyone offering him a HC job to be honest.

is not a play that Jones makes. Jones gets a bit antsy and would probably airmail that pass.

Yea, sorry I made a comment that you didn’t agree with!

I knew it was going to be some bullshit why mike white was able to do this.
Fact is not all of his receivers were open and all the other crap you claim. he threw into some tight windows with anticipation also.

Are you saying the Gmen should get.. Mike white?
