Jalen Brunson is game-time decision tonight, Tom Thibodeau says. Brunson has been questionable due to a quad issue. Derrick Rose (toe) and Cam Reddish will play tonight.
I am usually not one to jump on a coach,especially a guy I think is a pretty good one in Thibs....But...
Why is RJ allowed to chuck up 3 after 3..then just continually go 1 on 3 towards the hoop...and not have those things corrected mid game or at the very least in between games..

Imo, he keeps getting bigger to take on contact at the basket and he is absolutely dreadful when driving to the basket. He hoists up the worst shots and almost never makes it. He needs to trim down imo and gain some of that quickness back. Remember when he used to guard the opposing team's point? Last game they were isolating him on D. He has gotten so fuckin bad at defense imo. I don't get it. Every year he has slowly progressed until this year. He has fallen off a cliff. And Thibs just keeps enabling it.

His D has not been up to par because he has been nursing a Knee injury....there are times I watch him come back down the court and he looks like Willis in Game 7 1970 Championship game....other teams see that and take advantage.He is our 2nd or 3rd best player and thibs is gonna ride that horse as long as he can...actually today i saw a few nice moves at the hoop that I thought should have been coached into him weeks ago....mid range shots instead of taking it into the trees at the hoop.

Ja Morant is an amazing player. He made a player grabbing that rebound and putting it back in. And we all know Tibbs is the worst end game strategist perhaps in NBA history. The good news is Bronson continues to improve, RJ had a bounce back game, cam played well Grimes played pretty good defense. OB and Quirk have been in a funk and maybe they’re leveling off And be nothing more than complementary players. but they are both NBA caliber players who will have careers of over 10 years

This front office has a gift/reprieve with the signing of Brunson, he gives them a light at the end of the tunnel. He is a star in the making, he is doing more than anyone could of imagined, But the front office has to make the hard decision and move into the direction of making this his team.
They need to look at this roster and realize that Rose, Fournier, Randle, and even Rj dont fit next to Brunson. Move off of those players, Rj i wouldnt just give away and lets let some of these young players benefit from playing next to Brunson..
Also when the next available star becomes available freakin pounce and dont think twice. You habe a star in the making, at minimum an all star, make a move and you can vault this team pretty quickly..

Every year the fans go back and forth on him being the center of a trade or the cornerstone of the franchise based on how he's playing that month. That tells me what I need to know. His "improvement" has been taking more shots and that's been backfiring this year so far. He's going to be hard sell as an "ascending" player, especially with that fresh contract. Good lord did we botch the Mitchell thing. I could have been OK with not getting Mitchell had we not panicked and blown on our wad on RJ and Mitch.

If he's the #1 perimeter defender, then yes, it's not great. You can't play him and Fournier together.
