NGT: two 2pt conversions at the end of games today to win

Producer : 11/27/2022 7:17 pm
instead of tie - Chargers and Jags.

Bet that's a first in NFL history - two of those choices made successfully in one week.

Coaching in the NFL is changing, and I like it.
Not what I would do

But it worked.
I get it in the Jax-Ravens game...

because Jax has a big losing record. So, there is this sort of "what do we have to lose" attitude now...

The Chargers are on the road and with a .500 record and still on the edges of the playoff picture. I'm not sure that was the right call - I'm 50/50 - on it, but I get the thinking...
I would do it every time

Teams do a lot of practice on 2 point plays. You control a lot of variables with just one play.

Think about it this way: You're on the road. That stacks the odds against you a little bit in OT. And now you have one play to end it. I like the thinking, though I admit it's risky outside of just the football implications.
A lot of people were quick to anoint the Cardinals

Exactly where I stand.

Plus, I always evaluate who is the better team, which helps in OT.

I think the Chargers were controlling the play in the 4th quarter despite not scoring until the end, figure they would still control play in OT.
The Jags call for 2 at 3-7 is a no brainer

The Chargers call was a bit tougher to make I’m sure, but talk about a team that’s just been kind of blah so far this year. Their HC probably figured today was as good a time as any to jumpstart his team.
