I mean lets be real here. This team isnt equipped to go far this season. There shouldnt be no point to sign OBJ for the long term where we need alot more other places to fix. Yes WR is one place but we can get younger in the draft or something else.
thoughts?
Then throw in the fact that I Odell Is not the same and comes with all sorts of off the field drama. It is not some thing that the Giants are going to do
Both Dallas and Buffalo are stocked and are ready to go for the next several years. I doubt he wants to walk into a situation where he doesn't even know who the QB is going to be next year. Just my .02 cents.
How many seasons did the Giants make the playoffs with Beckham on the team?
How many playoff games did the Giants win with Beckham on the team?

It's a team sport champ. How many seasons did we have a top 10 defense? How many seasons was our O-line complete garbage?
1) Getting another legit WR will help with the Jones evaluation, though Daboll and Schoen likely already have their mind made up.
2) If a multi year deal, we need WRs next year too. More than one... Starting now doesn't hurt.
I think we’ll overpay for him for that reason, and I think Schoen should have been more proactive in the trade market if that was the case.
Right now I can see and hope for WR going in Rd 1 and then a second WR with 1 of 2 Rd 3 picks.
+1
I think OBJ realizes that as well, which is why the visit to NY is all semantics. He’s not healthy enough to be the main guy anymore. He would be the second/third option in Dallas, same in Buffalo. With the Giants they would have to feature him since there are really no other consistent players at the position.
I just can't see why OBJ would choose the Giants.
The giants cut Bradberry over money, why you can't come up with money for him, but you can Beckham???
The only time the Giants made the playoffs in the past decade, Beckham was not only on the team, but he was essentially the entire offense by himself.
I'm not saying the Giants should bring him back, but there's no need for revisionist history to make the case against him.
I am an OBJ fan but it doesn't work for the Giants now.
We need to draft and sign in FA like 5 WRs next year. We need a vet(s) WR as part of that corps. It'll be pretty desperate when we end up signing someone like Byron Pringle or Marvin Jones to the same amount as OBJ next year if we don't sign him.
Beside that I think the episode on the plane is not a good look either.
That is exactly what he is doing... Mara will not allow OBJ to play for this team again.
OBJ and his agent have no problem playing along
Beside that I think the episode on the plane is not a good look either.
The Rams are shutting guys down left and right. I'm not saying they've given up on the season entirely, but I also don't think it's an indictment of OBJ to have no interest from the Rams this year. I could see the Rams trying to bring OBJ back next year if he's still/back on the FA market in the offseason, but I don't see any reason why they'd sign him this year with the rest of their offense in shambles anyway.
