NFT: Knicks vs Pistons tonight

Earl the goat : 11/29/2022 5:45 pm
Karl Anthony Townes out with a possible calf or Achilles injury

Rumor has it him and edwards not getting along

If Rudy starts playing well without KAT in lineup and TWolves start winning then
Leon should make them an offer

Randle
Fournier
Some unprotected firsts that TWolves need back from Goebert trade
For KAT

Then Leon shoukd move Mitch and RJ for I don’t know what

Knicks need this win tonight

He is averaging 21 9 and 3 on 47% shooting, EFG 55% and his 3pt % his creeping back up and he is doing this on only 15 shots per game.

I know his defense is suspect at times but his offensive game is pretty damn good this year. He has embraced playing next to Brunson, his turnovers are down, he is not holding the ball as much.

He is not the reason this team are 10-11..

Haha, I’m not sure using “we” is the most accurate, there have been many of us that never bashed him like you and a handful of others continually have in almost every Knick thread. Glad to see you coming around, at least for this week anyway:)

Oh come on, it’s been a lot more than his D some of you complain about. And while too agree his defense can improve its still better than Obi’s. And I really like Obi but he’s lost on D.
and a big part of me wanting Randle gone
nygiants16 : 11/30/2022 9:50 am : link
is thinking Obi deserves more minutes that Thibs refuses to give with Randle here..

Most times i want Randle and Obi to play together

I think the difference between Randle and Obis defense, is that Obi looks like he is at least trying, Randle there are times where he doesnt move from his spot and doesnt rotate..

Obi at least looks like he is trying at times..
IMO
steve in ky : 11/30/2022 9:56 am : link
Randle mostly does that when he’s in foul trouble, and for all we know he’s instructed to not take easy fouls when I’m foul trouble and he’s just bad at masking it so it appears lazy. But the bottom line is regardless of appearance he’s still better on D than Obi.
I mean...

that's the nature of being fans. We have over-reactions to every game. It just happens. It's just amplified because it's NY and the Knicks are beloved even though they haven't been good in a while.

I think Randle's been playing well lately. I hope he keeps it up.

I just want the team to start playing smarter basketball. Coaching staff too. So when I see something that seems obvious for a casual fan watching, it frustrates me. Thibs weird rotation patterns, taking shots 3 seconds into the shot clock, running into the other team expecting a foul instead of being a willing passer on drives, bad close outs. Watching the games, patterns emerge and we vent online. Just how it goes.

BBI is so bipolar, lol. Now it’s time to stop killing Randle. Until the next game he looks completely lost. Which could be tonight. Then we kill him again!

This isn’t directed at you nygiants16, just in general. Moods and opinions flip flop so much around here based on each individual game it makes heads spin

It was never really time to kill Randle. Even last year. While it's a problem if Randle is the team's best player (or Brunson) --Randle isn't THE problem. Fucking broken record, but the Knicks need to surround Randle with better players. Brunson and Grimes are a start. If Randle was the 3rd best player here and we had a guy super star wing/2G--we'd be just fine.
Randle is polarizing.
Ten Ton Hammer : 11/30/2022 11:17 am : link
When he plays well he is easy to like.

When he's mentally checked out, he is not fun to watch and looks like an atrocious teammate to be around.

that cover the Knicks have documented Randle's penchant for low effort/lazy play time and time again. We're not making it up, lol. I'll never understand why Thibs has not held him accountable for that crap, but I've accepted that it's not going to happen. But, even if he cleaned up that part of his game, he's still not a high IQ player. Probably never will be.
Anyway, has anyone noticed how the spurs have lost

8 in a row after trading away their young all star?

Tanking isn't immoral to Greg Poppovich. They'll probably get Wembanyama.
Jazz have come back to earth too

after losing to us - now they're 12-11 and in the eighth spot.
Thought this was good info

Interesting.

We need a star center --Mitch is ok...everyone else is below OK and Mitch can't play every game with major minutes. Even if he could he's limited. Sims might have potential but he's just a backup young center for now. The other guy is weird. HArt...weird. Which is a nice way to say bad or a poor fit.
and that's an indictment on Randle too
djm : 11/30/2022 1:33 pm : link
someone has to box out and control the boards. It should be Randle and Mitch when they are out there. Someone aint doing his job.

Annoying. The D has been abysmal.
Last year Randle hit the boards
xman : 11/30/2022 3:16 pm : link
not so much this year.
