NFT: Anyone ever use Delta Dental Insurance

ImThatGuy : 11/30/2022 4:39 pm
I know this is a strange question its open enrollment time and we are planning for the coming year.

We gotta get started with orthodontics for my kids and the orthodontist takes Delta, plus it works with my existing dentist too.

For the past 20 years I've either been Aetna, Cigna or BlueCross, I've never even heard of Delta to be honest. I'm in North Jersey for reference, anyone have good or bad experiences with Delta?

Thanks
Delta is legit

I’ve used them in the past and never had any issues with them. Regardless of what carrier you use, just make sure you are in network.
My company has used Delta

for several years. They are a legit insurer, have never had any issues.
Had Delta years ago when I lived in NM....

and it worked fine. Anything you can actually get to work in NM is a plus. They are legit.

Pays us dog sh!t in reimbursement rates but from the consumer end, it's widely taken. The premier ends of insurance are comparable among insurance companies, just know that Dental insurance across the industry is more or less a coupon book that gives you discounts on certain things. If you're looking for ortho (braces) read the fine print on whats covered and when. I don't do anything aside from simple invisalign, but most insurances require you to hold it for a year before benefits for braces kick in. I believe GEHA or AETNA premium do not but double check that
Have had them for 8 years

Only drawback I remember was my dentist's office had only one dentist that accepted Delta Dental. Otherwise, no problem with them.
Almost every company I’ve worked for
