The worst part was the tape on the forehead..ymmv :)
honestly, the procedure for me wasn't terrible. The hardest part is not doing anything stupid because you feel fine. I wore a jockstrap for a week and that made a huge difference. Taking that off at the end of the day was not fun.
I typically hate anesthesia, hell I stayed awake for my wisdom teeth, but in hindsight I'd absolutely prefer to have been unconscious for that goddamn mess.

YEP... took so long, started to hurt very badly and then they gave me a shot for the pain (in the groin) and hit a nerve... My foot dropped forward and I thought I was hit with a sledge hammer in my groin.
It’s quick and relatively painless. My advice, plan on sitting around for at least three days afterwards. They really understate the recovery period. And ice every couple of hours for the first day or so.
Because why would I want to be awake while people are wielding sharp objects around my crotch?
THIS is correct. I had it done with sedation, and it was nothing more than a wonderful nap.
THAT SAID, make sure to ice and take it easy. I did not, and it hurt pretty badly for days. People say that it's totally random whether it hurts a little or a lot.
Use to assist with them all the time. Sedation was never offered. It was done in the clinic. One doctor would Rx Valium to take when you got to the office.
Had mine on a Thursday and made a weekend of it. Laid on the couch with a bag peas on my crotch and watched tv. Had the wife take the kids out of the house every day “so none of them will jump on me and hit me in the balls.”
But be smart do it on the Wednesday before the start of March madness.
I bag of frozen peas and 4 days of basketball in peace.
Schedule early it's a popular day to get it done.

I'd rather do my own vasectomy before watching March Madness
Ice for a day.....no issue
I don't want to ask...
Right??
Not pleasant.

Stitches? Sedation.
Strange people sticking a needle in my sack? Sedation.
Dinner with the in-laws?
Sedation.
It just ticks all the boxes.

This
Godspeed though.
Come on BBI

“Honey, I’m gonna need some special assistance over these next couple of weeks. In the name of medical science.”
Most relaxing weekend I’ve had in years.
Yeah, I know. Figured all I was going to do was lay around watching football anyway, so might as well get it done. Still scared shitless.

Sounds like a dull Thursday night in Atlantic City

I literally just burst out laughing in my office!!
"Whatever's down here is God's creation, isn't it a sin to undo the good work he's done? "
"Well you should know, you've made a living of it."
