Crystal Skull. At this point in their careers I think Mangold is better than Spielberg, especially for an action movie. And it’s back to fighting Nazis, something George Lucas was against doing. Madds Mikkelsen is a good choice for the villain.
Crystal Skull, as others said above, was an abomination (watch the Red Letter Media youtube review of it, which does a good job showing why it sucked.)
That said, hopefully the plot/writing is better, but seeing Harrison Ford out there at 80 years old doing this, I'm reminded of the Rocky poster from Airplane! lol.
I believe is for a flashback scene in the beginning, not the whole movie. I trust Mangolds judgement, and it sounds like he pushed back a lot on what Lucas has wanted for the franchise which is definitely a good thing.

attempt to hit rock bottom. At some point there must be a good new idea that someone can turn into an interesting script and get funding to produce a quality film. We are waiting.
I think they forgot how to make movies during the pandemic. Other than Top Gun ( which was completed before the pandemic ) everything I've seen has either been bland or flat out sucked. Aside from the well documented Disney flops, there's also Warner Brother's Batgirl, a movie so bad, they decided not to release it. Considering how awful the DC stuff they have released is, that's saying something .
